Corbyn was/is a divisie figure, even in his party. The problem is that he was forced to be against Brexit, even though many suspected that he personally wasnt against it at all, and could therefore not really give a strong stance against it.
Labour needs to take a good hard look at itself after this, because this result was a fucking disaster. And something tells me they're gonna learn all the wrong lessons.
Elections since 2015 have been overshadowed by Brexit. Labour traditionally are the party of the working class, but found themselves on the anti-Brexit side, while a lot of their core areas were staunchly pro-Brexit voters. People who wanted Brexit voted Tory. People who wanted to remain voted Lib Dems (who also increased their share of votes quite significantly). Labour were stuck in the middle trying to refocus on other aspects of politics, but the public didn't wanna focus, they wanted a Brexit resolution so Labour lost for that reason.
The problem is that he was forced to be against Brexitthe Russians put the buffoon in power again and the Tory voters didn’t even realize they sold out the UK.
They spent $3k on the states that tipped the election lol, they didn’t really make that much of a difference outside of making extreme partisans on both sides go more extreme.
I spent more in the state of California alone on Facebook ads in two weeks.
