I wear steel toe boots most of the time while I’m working. The only times I’ve had to deal with a dog I just waited for it to lunge and kicked the ever loving shit out of it’s chest.

I had plenty of time to pull my knife, but with a good pair of boots on you should be fine. A knife is what I’d be diggin into its neck if it bit me.
