It’s a very serious post. I felt powerless. I’m not strong, tall, or at all intimidating. I can’t grow a beard, I’m a little overweight, and I don’t have a commanding voice. But when I carry, I feel safe. And this is from someone who used to be anti-gun. I had the whole “who needs an AR-15?” mentality. Then I went out and shot some. I realized that they were tools, not murder implements. I got comfortable with them and eventually bought some of my own. Now I’m a huge gun advocate. I take my friends shooting and help educated them on stupid platforms at the range. Now, I’m trying to talk all of them into getting concealed weapons permits. Even if you don’t feel comfortable having a handgun in your waistband, wouldn’t you feel better with one in your car? Or next to your bed? I’ve never had to draw mine, but if I ever have to, I’ll be glad I was able to.
