The retard I was arguing with confused royalty-free with "free use" under the Creative Commons license. If something is free use then you have the right to use it however you want without any repercussions. This isn't the same for music that is released by the artist without royalties. In both cases you don't own the music but you can become demonetized if the music is royalty-free and not for free use. Online media streaming made media rights management confusing for awhile but it's gotten more clear and concise over time.
