When was the left prudish? Look at the west every June. Look at anti slut shaming, "her body her choice", trying to pass "sex worker"as a profession when you're just an e-hoe
The paranoia around sexual assault and the way fairly ambiguous or even innocuous situations start to be called rape, the shaming of most male expressions of eroticism ("toxic",) anti-porn branches of feminism sprouting up again, the demands that one's sexual preferences fit ideological lines (shaming of anyone not attracted to trans or certain races.)
But beyond just the sexual, when I say prudish, I'm referring to the way that one side tends to be morally policing while the other promises more moral freedom. So in the 90s and early-mid 00s you have the right largely made up of morally policing Christians, fighting against homosexuality, casual sex, porn, crude or edgy content in media, any sort of social behavior or thought that can be policed for not fitting their current ideology. With the left promising freedom to be gay, explore sexually, think counter-culturally, and generally taking up the edgy and crude parts of media and culture as a whole. Whereas in the past decade, there has been a lot of the left being the ones morally policing sexual behavior, media content, behavior/thoughts that don't fit their perfect ideology, with the right often taking up the mantle of offering edginess and freedom from moral policing.
Obviously leftoids don't become evangelical preachers, and rightoids don't become trans gay furries (well they do but in secret.) But there is a dichotomy of prudishness vs edge/freedom that they swing between and express differently when their turn for each comes up.

It's just a twerking video he won't even remember. It's not like they're doing something truly harmful like exposing him to christianity.
Edit: Also nearly all of the comments are against op, don't lie

I thought r/Coomer point was to make fun of porn addiction, but some post imply that having sex outside of marriage makes you a coomer.

It hasn't singlehandedly ruined his life, but if his parents think this is acceptable, it doesn't bode well for his future.
