I had a neighbor whose mom lived with him. She would drink a 6 pack of bud light every morning before she started her shift at whatever shitty factory job she had. She was a pretty cool lady.
When I worked at Amtrak our yard engineer would go through a keg of beer at home every 2 weeks. He lived alone and worked around 50 hours a week.
In fact, Amtrak had a hotline you could call in if you were drunk and had a shift. If you called in so many times they sent you to rehab in Florida for a few weeks on the company and got your job back. But I think after that you got fired.
All the top comments are being proud of alcoholism. Imagine having such a fucking dull and stupid life that you have to be drunk all the time to make it bearable.
