every time I get summoned here, I have a quick look around and find that this place gets worse and worse, it's like a black hole which mangles everything that gets sucked into it. src
The remaster means a lot of fake snobs and “critics”are gonna finally see it. Soviet and Russian cinema is in the top 3 for sure with every other nation miles behind especially China (Hong Kong didn’t belong to China) I pray it makes it to the arr movie details jerk to see the worst takes possible.
Russian cinema is garbage. I can probably list on one hand the number of good movies Russia has made in the last decade. And for every one of those, we have ten Burnt by the Sun 2's.
That’s true for everywhere in the last decade, everywhere has become creatively dead excluding a extremely small pool of films (tho I don’t get around to watching the smaller stuff unless I get a strong recommendation) this years Oscars nominees are a example they’re all weak leaving only 2 possible winners. Russias film history is respectable but still is nothing compared to American or French cinema. I personally thought Loveless got shafted 2 years? ago when that horrible looking film about the train man harassing the family of his lover after he died I don’t know the whole plot but the trailer was hilarious https://youtu.be/PJHex4ZitgA How the fuck did this Almodovar knock off get any awards!?
No other country has become as creatively dead as Russia did once the Soviet Union fell though. What's the most popular post Soviet film in Russia? Brother 1 and 2? Though I do have to agree, loveless was a pretty good film.
Imagine only liking Waterloo. Why not at least watch War and Peace, which is Waterloo but with actually good writing. Or some other of Bondarchuk's better films like They Fought for Their Country.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of Soviet movies but this one was really good. It's been so long that I've forgotten most of it though. I guess it's time to watch again.

You imbecile. You moron.
And everyone knows Mihalkov is an onanist, so your take is lukewarm.

T-34 felt like the kind of fun, retarded blockbusters that Hollywood doesn’t make anymore

Yeah its probably one of the best movies Ive ever seen, but I also never want to see it again. Mexican cartel execution vids are easier to get through
