The one I thought of off the top of my head is cornīcor, which was in the satires of Persius, which I only remember because my then-professor made a big deal about it because it wasn't in the regular latin dictionary I own, but it was in a $150 one, so I bought a copy of of that one too. Because of that stupid verb I bought a copy of a book that is now over 100 years old, or something. I cant remember if it was harper or Lewis & short tho.
Oh, and the verb means to "caw like a crow", for the curious.
Sure, why the hell not? I mean, a lot of really smart Romans took poetic license with grammar structure. Reading a new poet was like relearning basic grammar because Cicero differed from Ovid differed from Catullus
Actually, just googled this and someone talking about this exact thing on LSE, here was a picture linked from "Linguæ Grammaticæ Rudementa", (which I assume to mean "Græcæ grammaticæ rudimenta", because Ancient Greek study and Ancient Latin went hand-in-hand for the most part):
First question answered: if we're going off the original verb, you're probably right to add the "...est" at the end to fit with the old proverb. And how you translated (third person singular and third person plural) would probably work perfectly fine. -are to fit the first declension ending of most feminine nouns, and then turned to verbs.
Aight, so the dashes are great for two things imo: learning to speak out loud and scansion. The Roman's only wrote like 1 mark to show a letter was long, and they did it relatively randomly from what I can tell? But it makes it easier for non-Romans to read it, and I had a professor who insisted on us using those marks for everything.
An "ī" means a "long i", for instance. Pronounced like an english "ee", like Jeep. A plain "i" usually means a short, pronounced like the "i" in "fit". However, short or long only matters if "i" is a vowel. Sometimes it can be a consonant, like in Iūnō (the god) or iaciō (iacere, iēcī, iactum, to throw, the verb).
Quick scansion example of the most overused line in Latin history, bolded parts are pronounced long and bars separate metric feet:
"Arma vi|rumque ca|nō, Trō|iae quī | prīmus ab | ōrīs"
Basically, they're not super important. I could type out stuff without words and people would know what it meant, probably. But if we wrote a poem on the topic we would probably want to indicate short or long so people could properly read the femcel-dunking-on.
Ah, interesting, because there's for example Latvian language (whose grammar was half made up by some German dude as far as I know) which actually uses long vowels nontrivially in several places of the grammar, most prominently for the Locative declension, "upe" is a river, "upē" means in the river. Plus "kazas" means goats, "kāzas" means a wedding.
I loved Whitaker's words actually, and constantly recommend it, but having a book was far quicker at the time, and more socially acceptable. Smartphone ubiquity is a thing now, and was just starting to be a thing at college when I graduated.
grow up and realise that stripping trans people of rights has nothing to do with feminism
What rights are they being stripped of again? I never understood that meme, they have all the human rights and civil rights and whatnot as everyone else, no?
This is libel, and harassment - a civil tort, and a violation of the Reddit Content Policies.

Hobby drama has gotten so shitty as of late. It's becoming SRD 2 with people just blog posting about how someone did something not that controversial and just saying "people are mad."
Nope, I’m not bi actually. Im gay. I have never, EVER wanted to fuck a man. I was with my partner for a long time before she came out to me. She told me I was free to leave her. I didn’t.
It’s funny— I never HAVE had sex with a dick.
It’s also funny that you’re out here telling people what lesbians are and are not— I have been beaten, gay bashed, called a dyke, and had a man try to rape me correctively. You’re literally just like these people by enforcing your fucked up view of sexuality.
I’m not bisexual, thanks.
But do you want to hear something funny? One of my most disgusting abusers, who groomed me from when I was about fifteen until she abandoned me when I turned legal, was a TERF. She told me how lucky I was not to be with a man while she raped me.
To this day I have never touched a dick. To this day I’ve never had a dick inside me— I’ve never in my life wanted to touch a dick, thanks. But because I’m with a trans woman, you’re going to call me bisexual.
Sorry that lesbians disagree with you.
For a feminist, you sure care a lot about forcing your sexual beliefs into other people and enforcing your idea of sexuality. People can fuck who they want.
Obviously the GF was transitioned and post-chop before they met, but had the decency to make sure everyone's emotionally invested before she let the dyke know. She's also the trans dream of being unclockable and having a perfect neovag that even lesbians can't detect.
Eva and boyoyo-etc. are hilarious more often than not. For instance, I think boyoy had a comment on the Jussie Smollet article that said "when ur jew brain comes up with a plan but ur black brain executes it" that left me in stitches. Better than daddy tick tock's boomer-isms.
I literally help run the largest lesbian community on Reddit. The vast majority of our users would tell you that 'the point of being lesbian' is being attracted to women, which may, but by no means has to, include trans women.
Which subreddits can women go to that aren't run by men?
Don't worry, I've brought this to the attention of the high council of faggotry. Her heterosexual registration card and King James Bible are in the mail
how are they supposed to get rejected by a cashier at starbucks if menslibbers think its only okay to ask a girl out after youve been friends with them for 2 years
You're seething with anger fueled by testosterone produced by your testes. Hell, I bet you'd want to hit him if I were in front of you. Don't be ashamed of it. It just means you're a man like the rest of us.
I'm actually more pro trans than even most trans. I want everyone with gender dysphoria to transition and even some who don't (mens libbers, incels, manlets, etc.). I think we need to avoid any possible situation where a trans person is in the closet and ruins some unsuspecting person's life by marrying them pre transition. Everything should be out in the open.

Truly the best thing we could do is leave them to the fate.
I do feel bad for the kids though. But, new world, new childhood traumas, and still nothing ever changes.

Yeah, but the misery used to have some poetry to it. You could put it on paper in words and send it across ages. It was critical literature.
You can't do that with these people. There is no objectivity!

... est. Unfortunately while otherwise powerful latin grammar doesn't allow verbing nouns like that, as far as I understand.

The Romans did it rarely, but it did happen.

People there seem to say that the most common way to verb that noun would be as "luparare".
So "Femina feminam luparat" or "Feminae feminas luparant", right? How important those dashes over vowels are, by the way?
