Now, Pete being gay, the claim in the title should be self-evident, but I think this should have some interesting implications for his campaign. His dad was a major Marxist, and now Pete, mocked by some of his detractors most often as Mayo Pete or CIA Pete (leaving out the very obvious jabs at his physical appearance), has swallowed [neoliberalism] whole.

It's very obvious to me that Pete's entire campaign is just a way to get the attention of, or get back at, the figure among the runners that resembles his father most closely: Bernie Sanders. Back in highschool, little Pete practically drooled over Sandaddy, remarking upon Bernie's stunning bravery in an essay. "One outstanding and inspiring example of such integrity is the country’s only Independent Congressman, Vermont’s Bernie Sanders," an excerpt says.

I suspect that Pete's great shift in ideology was in part a result of his time in the military. I'd imagine that getting his bussy blasted by a bunch of commie-bashing all-American boys was an influence that put him in conflict with his roots, which ultimately lead to his rejection of them and his father.

Everytime I see Pete and Bernie up on the debate stage, I'm just waiting for him to crumble. His seething bitterness is very obvious and he's just a bussy hair's width away from falling apart.
