Some independent research on my part has found the following data on crime in New York based off Mayor Bloomberg's quotes. Note that I had to change the age range to 15-24 because of how it is broken up in the age specific arrest rates report; besides that however, this is a very accurate picture of what crime in New York looks like.
Population of blacks and Hispanics between 15 and 24 is 2.7 percent of the population in New York.
2.7 percent does 66.5 percent of murders in NY
2.7 percent does 60 percent of rapes in NY
2.7 percent does 69 percent of robberies in NY
2.7 percent does 48 percent of aggravated assault in NY
