I created this subreddit as a response to that. All hatred and shenanigans at /r/drama can be catalogued and made fun of accordingly.
There are only two rules: no bigotry and no /r/drama users.
This may be the autist libertarian in me talking, but If he's left the country and won't return then what's actually the issue here? Like what else is the US going to do? Waste tax payer money to extradite and jail him? He's already some other country's problem. I'd say this for any country, not just Israel. We deport undocumented immigrants for a lot less.
My bloodlust for pedos is enough reason by itself for me, but I guess if I was autistic, another reason would be to not incentivize the pedos still here to do the same by giving them an easy out.

Also while theoretically these nations with laws like these that make deportation nearly impossible, can technically prosecute a citizen who flees to them in they're own justice system, in practice they almost never seem to. If an illegal commits a crime we make sure they serve it before we deport. They can hop right back across that border if they want, deportation is not like a final banishment.
Punishment and revenge are important parts of a functioning justice system. People have to trust the state monopoly on violence to serve justice, or else they start taking things into their own hands and you end up with a tribal society based on blood feuds and private armies.
Part of the reason for jailing pedophiles is to stop them from raping children, but the other part is to prevent their victims older brother from firebombing the pedophiles family or house of worship.
This doesn't apply to just Israel, also any nation that has laws where they refuse to deport citizens. Like getting someone out of France or Germany can also be tough. Hell Polanskis still there.
Of course Israel is especially weird because of the law of return, any jew whether they want to or not can just up and leave at any time and they are more or less citizens right off the bat. Literally the only nation in the world probably where this is possible for any group.
