They also experienced a huge loss in their best employees, who took a pay cut under the new system. The more talented and hard-working employees who had always pulled in good tips, left to work at businesses where they could go back to hustling for money.
Waitstaff who are terrible usually weed themselves out. In a normal restaurant they don’t make enough to make a living, so they leave. Under this new system employees who were not pulling their own weight needed to be fired, because there was no incentive to work harder to make more. Restaurants started experiencing higher than normal turnover, and were spending a ton on training new hires. As a result, the customer service declined at the restaurants, which of course inevitably lead to more loss of business.
Sounds just like a certain political system that starts with purges of their intellectuals and hard workers until everyone invariably starves.
I don't give a fuck how much you call your flimsy delusions "enlightenment." There is no amount of ceaseless self-deception that will make you accept the charred hellscape of being a miserable useless destitute fucking junkie piece of shit. You know what you are, and it is deeply ugly on every level.
Cold? People usually have insulated food containers. You're also ignoring that some people have a lot of income. If I want iHop at 8pm I'm not getting up and going 5 miles down the street for it when I can shamelessly eat it half naked on my computer bed set up.
Is there any reason why redditors hate tipping so much, besides "business owner bad"? Waiters at decent restaurants make way more than minimum wage, and serving is one of the most lucrative low skill part time jobs you can have.

Tipping being expected defeats the entire purpose of tipping
Also it's retarded because attractive foids make the most in tips

It seems pretty fair tbh. I'm not gonna tip an ugly person. They shouldn't have born that way, being ugly was their choice.

You hardly ever get a cute grandpa waiter except at the really high end places. I'm not gonna tip a gender i would rather didn't exist

If you're going to be ugly, you should work hard enough to get a real job.

I really don't understand services like Uber eats...
So people pay a surcharge for cold restaurant food. Why not just go out....or cook your own food?

Let’s be honest here, you couldn’t make it five miles down the street fatty.

I would rather kill myself than drive through rush hour traffic in the busiest part of the city for fucking Five Guys so it’s occasionally worth it.
They jack up the prices on the apps above the restaurant’s then add surcharges, fees, and tip which can more than double the price though.

Motherfucker I'm lazy and I've got more money than will to make food.

Why don’t they just at the end of every fucking bill do GRATUITY........... 15% or 20% of t where t is total
Maybe have people circle which one they want between like 2 options I guarantee that would work
