I thought about posting this too. Ain't No Sunshine was one of the first songs I learned with my dad on guitar. 👼

Ain't No Sunshine

He's one of the of the people who defined modern soul music

“Bill Withers was one of the heaviest cats to ever be thrust onto the music world- and either he didn’t know it, or he humbly downplayed its’ significance. If ever there was honest human emotion, being translated into honest words, delivered by an honest voice, Bill Withers was the vessel. I can’t count the times I sat listening to Bill when nothing else would do. Times that call out for the power of music to cut into your soul and take no prisoners. Often times after listening to Bill in these situations I would have to turn the music off afterwards as following Bill would be pointless. The cleansing had been completed.

Maybe it has something to do with Bill being from an unlikely or less obvious place like West Virginia. We don’t think of our great soul singers as being from West Virginia but Bill wasn’t just a soul singer. He was a poet, a folk singer, a composer, a hybrid of elements that included even a bit of country twang. I enjoyed listening to him talk almost as much as I enjoyed hearing him sing. Maybe it’s because I’m from North Carolina and both West Virginia and North Carolina being “mountain states” I could relate to the “high lonesome” or in his case “low lonesome” connection that runs through Appalachia. Regardless, I felt something from the first time I heard his voice. Something soothing and relaxing, something less acrobatic and “attention drawing" than most soul singers and, looking back, it was the honesty shining through. No pretension or drama in his delivery- you got the feeling he was singing the same way on his records or to a sold-out crowd that he would in his bedroom.

Which brings us to the songs: Another thing that separates Bill from most artists is the songs- not only the amount of great songs he wrote but the diversity that’s represented by each one. Who else would or could write Use Me and Grandma’s Hands, Just The Two Of Us and I Can’t Write Left Handed, Harlem and Hope She’ll Be Happier With Him? And of course, in my lifetime there’s been many times when America, or the South, or the World needed an overall message, and Lean On Me seemed to sum it all up. Now is one of those times and, sadly, we no longer have Bill. I guess we’ll have to lean on each other."

“Ain’t No Sunshine 🌞” is a double negative 👎 thus indicating there is sunshine ☀️ when she’s gone.

Ok mayo 🐩

That’s fair 🥪

Rip bill ❤️🤴🏾

I absolutely love Bill withers. His songs with his calm voice make me a little happier after hearing them. I don't feel as sad as others though. I think he had a great life and his music influenced and inspired others. He lived to the age of 82. This was just his time and to me he is not dead because I still can continue to hear his music.

I need people to stop banning my lolis. That's all I need! Just let me be with my drawings. Let me enjoy cute happy anime lolis that are so full of love and affection. That let me forget about this horrible world and the shitty people in it. Is that so hard to ask for? Why are people so fucking hell bent on banning lolis? What do they or society gain? I don't like scary slasher movies about people murdering people(illegal BTW). But I don't call for them to be banned nor insult those that enjoy them. One of the few things in life that makes me happy. Little glimmers of joy in my shit life and they fucking ban it because they want to make an extra buck fron ad investors.

Maybe there's a reason why people want these pure, perfect maidens? Could it be that the real world is filled with darwinistic people? Filled with murder, drugs, deasise, genocide, virtue signalling, inequality, false politicians, false ronance, bullies, ect. Where everyone is out to push eachother down to get on top? Yea, no wonder people are so eager to want something better.

Is it really difficult for people to mind their own business? If you don't harm anyone, why ban it?

You know. What about GTA that glorifies crime and actually hurts people in the real world with predatory microtransactions? What about rape fantasies? What about guro? What about furry porn? What if she's canonlly legal age? What about girls that look mature but are underage(Ikkitousen, HSoTD)? What about all that incest porn on pornhub? That's illegal IRL but no one is harping to ban that. What about r/trees? A sub dedicated to glorifying marijuana but one problem...weed has been and still is illegal and classified as a class1 drug in the US. Or the sub that literally shows real kids being killed. Or all those propaganda and ad shilling? But no one bans that!

BUT BAN THE LOLIS!!!!!

IF. PEOPLE. JUST. STOPPED. BANNING. LOLIS. I'LL. BE. HAPPY
