but from what I've heard this isn't even a remake of the original game it's vaguely a sequel to advent children where Sephiroth goes back in time in order to not die to the main characters. So he's manipulating shit from the shadows and it causes a butterfly effect where Zack is alive somehow. The game is basically fan fiction and also episodic making it like 200 dollars eventually since episode 1 is only an extended Midgar. Also based on dialogue Aerith might actually live or rather die near the end.

I was like 8 or 9 when I played it so I didn't exactly obsess over it like a lot of older people (though I bought a cringey sephiroth shirt on ebay) but I definitely enjoyed the game a lot and thought it was almost as good as Banjo Kazooie.
