Mikael Juncker Sørensen is a Dane who commited a robbery in 2015. Mikael assumed that if he pretended to be a retard in court and at a psychological test, he would get a reduced sentence, so he did exactly that. Instead he ended up being diagnosed with mental retardation and got sentenced to live indefinitely in an institution for retarded people who've commited a crime. He quickly ended up in the news and kept trying to get released but to no avail.

He got tested again in 2016, this time scoring 84 IQ but that wasn't enough to get the court to overthrow their decision. After years of dealing with the court's bureacracy, they basically told him that they couldn't legally change his sentence unless he comitted another crime... so he did just that in 2019 by stealing two model ships. This stirred things up as he now got to be tested again, which this time around concluded that he is not retarded, just a normal dumb person. This should soon lead to him being transferred to a prison and then after that he's going to be released back into society. 😋
