People basically support what will benefit them personally. In this case you might wonder how could a woman possibly support stoning other women to death? Well if the first woman was chastise she wouldn't be at risk of stoning herself, however she would hold an advantage over other women who are more hedonistic. If stoning for adultery was outlawed then that removes the benefit the modest woman enjoyed, so of course she would be against it.
