So, to make a long story somewhat short, my girlfriend has been donating a portion of my pay and inheritance every day to the Sanders Campaign and it’s been a real salvation for her during these tough times.

Yesterday I woke up to a text from her saying “something happened to the campaign. It said something about no refunds. My donations are gone.”

Just reading the text stirred so many emotions: anger, sadness, shock. I knocked two of my least favorite funko pop collectibles in a rage. I texted her back and started researching, hoping for a solution. I found a few posts of people who had been in similar situations, but none of them had found a way to get a refund.

After about an 30 minutes of searching I realized that her campaign donations were most likely gone for good, but I couldn’t accept this so I continued, hoping to find some miracle post or solution...

And there it was! /r/sandersforpresident I knew that my lady had purchased Nintendo online to play animal crossing with her boyfriend, and reddit always has great advice! I had her check but some trolls kept messaging her no refunds.

Then I found that /r/NintendoSwitch might have a ton of guys like me working on their girlfriend's sanders campaign refund and Animal Crossing, for reasons not worth mentioning. They also claimed they would have a way to recover her campaign donations, but that promise was made sometime in February and it doesn’t seem like they’ve fulfilled that promise just yet.

So yes, the money is gone forever and there’s nothing she can do about it(for now).

I know what some of you might be thinking. We both know it’s just $30,000 and that we can start over, but to know that all that time she put into the campaign has been wasted—all her bernie girls, her various twitters, her “ok boomer girl outfit”—they’re all worthless and there’s no reliable solution to getting the donations back is heartbreaking to say the least. I don’t even vote for men and I felt some rather intense sadness about it all, because I know how much time, love and care she put into the primaries.

It also didn’t help that it was our 8 year anniversary yesterday—a day we hoped would come and go problem free. We still had a great day: we cooked ratatouille(was good), and I did my best to remember all her boyfriends and I made a little card for them(will post below). But knowing that this was a problem outside of her control, and wondering if it could have been prevented is beyond irritating.

So here’s to hoping that we can get our Sanders Campaign contributions back.

I don't think I put that many hours into Red Dead Redem. and Witcher 3 combined.

According to Steam Witcher3 is the game I put the most hours into at about 325. I kind of find that a little embarassing but then you see steam reviews of people with over 1000 hours invested in a game.

I loved that game. I can only play a game once and them I'm over it, but I know with games like Skyrim people play 1000s of hours. Once the main storyline is done, I'm over the game. My neighbor will play a game once for fun and then to platinum it on ps4 and I don't have the attention span for that shit.

Witcher 3 has a lot of good replay value because of all the choices you can make throughout, builds to experiment with, and variety of monsters. On top of that all the dlc is like another half game on its own. I just don't play games much anymore.
