Main post is here. Op decided to rank and rate all the installments of the Evangelion franchise, but not only decides to include two fan fictions, but rates both of them higher than the Manga and "rebuild movies". They even gives one of them a 10! This aggression will not stand and a few people jump to the defense of Anno Senpai.

Their understanding of physics warped from watching too many robot battles, one user claims it's "physically impossible" for someone else to understand a work better than the author. One an also find OP arguing that cannon is just when something is like "really good".

One user claims OP is a shill for the fan fiction they gave a 10as apparently much of his post history is talking about the fan fiction. They later on bring starshit into this.

Forgetting that Eva isn't actually a documentary, someone claims fan fiction doesn't matter because it "literally didn't happen" (and not because most fan fiction is unbelievably bad).

Counterpoint: fanfic, when done correctly, uses the established characters as readymades to tell some different story. Rather than have to come up with an entire cast of OCs that no one gives a shit about, use pre-built characters. The key is staying in-character.
