How the fuck did language and attitudes from SRS leak into the rest of reddit? I remember this website used to be somewhat normal like 2014 and before. Now you got people saying shitlords and banning anyone who doesn't agree with woke shit even in default subs.

It happens cause the old SRS type jannies kept moving to different, unrelated subs and then modded their friends in. They target advice/meta subs in particular, because that's where they can spread their ideology the easiest. Why they were let in the 1st place? Because they already had some "experience" from modding their own shitholes + they're capable of doing it for free all the time.

The result is a bunch of obese mayos going "yall cant behave" whenever their weird fringe values are violated by the users.

I'll also note that Tumblr died/died even further when they banned porn, so a lot of them migrated to Twitter and Reddit. Not that every "Yikes, oof, let's unpack this!" is a tumblr-fugee but I'm sure there's some back door data that shows an influx. Plus this website getting more and more popular with each year so more teenagers joining it, shitting the site up.

This sub is what happens when minimally educated unintelligent people join together to find common ground and project their own self loathing to the rest of the world. There has never been anything clever that I have ever seen from this sub. I will continue to look for humor but I am just starting to think that loss and anger plus unemployment equals humor
