The healthcare system sucks balls nearly as often as ours (US) does. It might be good for things like a pandemic but my family flies out HERE for surgeries, because waiting in line behind a jobless or an immigrant with a boo boo who moved there to abuse the healthcare system is really frustrating, especially when you're the one paying for their services anyways. If you need a specialist sometimes you can only go to specific ones, and if they're poorly rated you're shit out of luck. My uncle had a fucking colostomy bag for 3 weeks, even offering to pay more he couldn't get his specialist and had to fly out here to advance it. It's not every case but people fucking die like this.

Pretty much every single talking point you read online is bullshit. Being an entrepreneur is near impossible if you don't come from money- even their income tax is completely crippling. The biggest difference in quality of life here vs there is pay, and the income tax contributes heavily to it.

"Colleges are cheaper" like you always hear, semi true, but their public school system is absolute dogshit- I've never seen someone who attended public school become anything past lower-mid class. Successful people in Canada all use the private school system paying 14-26k a year just to have a decent education, most attend grades 5-12 so seven fucking years of basically college tuition.

Anyways just a little rant to let confused people know, if you don't come from money in Canada you're just as likely to fail as anywhere else, you just get some baseline decent healthcare. Grass is greener kind of shit, but 90% of the talking points are lies and as someone who's worked 5+ years in either I would 1000% rather live and try to succeed in America.

it's pretty much the same here in Australia and in Kiwistan, though our healthcare certainly is in better shape than Canada's from the sound of things.

Job market in Straya commonly goes to crap, exchange rate commonly goes to crap, stores often put zero oversight into what they stock and sell mostly chinesium trash. Unless you want to get fleeced buying something imported from the usa or europe. Dining out is overpriced, the quality even in better regarded places is pretty rubbish compared to most random places i rocked up to while on holiday in California. Houses in australia are just rubbish, contractors rarely take pride in their work.. Getting a lazy git fired at work takes ages.

At least our government shows a spine sometimes over things that actually matter, and isn't completely high off its own insignificant airs like Canada.

Still there are a lot of people here completely convinced we are a utopia compared to the USA, even if with some of it is smacks of sour grapes. I like this country, great weather, lots of space; we do have it good. But some places have it better in some ways. Many aussies are just as guilty of getting bussyblasted over that fact as burgers.
