It’s weird that every city is going through this. My nextdoor this weekend was some Karen bitching that people weren’t wearing masks while enjoying some restaurant.
I've experienced in my city a very small percentage of passerbys will just start crazily ranting at you/insulting you if you've taken you mask off when walking, even if there's no one within six feet of you. people who have rightfully never been entrusted with power their entire lives overdosing on a license to scold.
I have a bet with some co-workers that there'll be riots Memorial Day weekend. I think I'm going to lose, because the activism hotbeds are most either getting pummeled by Covid or having restrictions relaxed, but Michigan might still pop off. We're two months worth of rent into 20% unemployment hell, and that combined with ill-considered restrictions (Michigan) and a holiday that usually involves getting wasted in the sunshine is like the perfect recipe for looting and burning cars.

The problem is that the real world people I know with similar opinions are either pro lockdown to spite Mango Daddy, or too chickenshit to actually protect their civil liberties. Though to be fair, as much as I hope somebody splatters their local congressperson, I'm not about to do that either.
