"Dude, there's nothing wrong with weed. Some of the most brilliant and creative people smoked weed. What? Yeah, I still live with my mom. How did you know?"
Haven’t smoked in two years. Pretty sure it’s happening. Additionally, I’m not sure weed causes schizophrenia. Maybe you don’t know what you’re talking about.
LMAO I guess I can’t defend weed unless I actually currently smoke. Everyone who votes for weed legalization in their state smokes weed then right? Nice logic.
Yep fucking druggies man. Haha. I quit during four year because I grew a tolerance and it really wasn’t worth it for the money. I wasn’t getting that schizophrenic affect from it anymore you know what I mean? I would most likely have to quit anyway because most firms drug test. But yeah I just go around defending weed, that’s why you can find other comments of me going around and defending weed other than the past 24 hours, right? No.

I'm like 80% of the way through The Stars My Destination btw. Really is amazing how pretty much everything that we call cyberpunk now is taken from this book in the 1950s. The only exception I've seen so far is the internet, and that's not a lack of imagination, it's that jaunting makes it pointless.
I always find it kind of quaint and charming when those old books miss the most prevalent real life tech advancements like the internet and cell phones. Like we've colonized the solar system but everyone has to hit up a video-phone booth to talk to each other.
What I found really funny is the companies they list as living into the distant future. Most of them were bought out or died when their technology became obsolete in the 1990s: Sears, Montgomery-Ward, Kodak, various American car companies. It's like looking at the companies featured in Blade Runner. Especially because Blade Runner totally ripped off 70% of the ideas in this book.
I really think that book would make an awesome movie if it was done right. A good director could probably recognize a little thing like that and throw it in for a bit of retro-alternate-future aesthetic.
Yeah, I think it would work well as a movie. Most of what's going on is stuff that you can show visually. It's not like Dune, where half of the story takes place inside people's heads but for some reason everyone tries to make a movie out of it.
There's a lot of action scenes. It's more of a space-opera rather than some mind-bending scifi. As long as they throw in a silly sound effect like "BOIIIIIIINNNNGG!!" every time someone teleports it should be pretty good
To be honest, its pretty shitty people lump all weed smokers into the same category as this chump. Smoke or don't smoke, it doesn't effect me. I don't judge non-smokers for not smoking, and I don't judge drinkers for drinking.....
Seriouspost: I kind of agree. I got friends who are baked out of their fucking minds half the time and I can get along with them fine. But I have people who are no longer friends because it changed their whole personality and made them really goddamn boring.
Maybe the solution is to not judge but encourage people to give up the vices they are using to make their lives easier in the short term. And by that I don't mean scolding, I mean actively trying to help people get better.
Think a big danger is being sucked into the "culture". You can enjoy smoking without allowing it to consume your life. People who smoke a joint in the evening like you would drink a beer after work are worlds apart from the dude who shares his crossjoint pictures on reddit and hasn't been sober in 10 years. 95% of the time this topic always comes down to moderation, got to say I agree.
To push drugs on the black man while you denigrate the righteous people of Africa. This kind of stereotyping shows a serious lack of moral character. Have you no shame? Smh.
And no I wasn’t denigrating the righteous people of Africa. I was saying that they are brainwashed into believing their religion, which is true. Loon isn’t a good word, but your head isn’t all there if you believe in religion.

Yeah dude how did you know!?!? I’m a fucking burnout. About to graduate law school... I’m a huge embarrassment to my family. Weed has ruined my life🥺
Pls help

Is that's what's actually happening or do you just think that because you're high all the time?

Sure, you haven't smoked in two years. You just go around frothing at the mouth and fervently defending weed for fun, I suppose.
Fucking druggies.

Proof that weed causes brain damage.
Yikes this is pretty racist.
3 ForeignGrammarNazi 2020-05-27
Even worse, the damage looks permanent.
1 worldofwarshafts 2020-05-27
I’m not sure there’s any scientific proof that backs enjoying 69 means you have brain damage lmao. Keep clowning my guy

Whoa buddy no need to come here to justify your pro drug and racist agenda. You need to come to terms with those aspects of your life on your own.

What is my racist agenda exactly?
