Jokes and usual shit-posting aside, this is a great wholesome distraction from all the shit going on. It's nice just watching a bunch of nerds on the stream making family-friendly jokes and getting excited for the launch. It's a great brain cleanse, I hope everything goes perfectly.

Yuropoors yesterday: I can't believe these riots are happening, only in america
Yuropoors today: this launch is an achievement for the WORLD, not one country

In year 2050, SJW’s will complain how all white people now live on Mars and they have 34 times higher GDP than Earth.
Urban Planet is not just a store chain but urban dictionary word for Earth.

I just hope I love long enough for the US to claim the moon as it’s new state.

Yeah but usually they design boats so the front doesn't fall off too right?
2 Mistr_MADness 2020-05-30
Oh yeah, didn't it get cancelled due to weather three days ago? Completely forgot it was already the 30th, thanks for sharing.

Eli5 why not just move the Earth away from the rocket rather than causing all that pollution with rocket smoke?

1 GeminiRocket 2020-05-30
The video feed cutted off anyway for a short time so you missed nothing
2 Homofascism 2020-05-30
Yeah, that was what I was talking about. Kinda sad. :(
But the rest was great. :)
2 GeminiRocket 2020-05-30

3 ScunneredWhimsy 2020-05-30
Indeed but that was just a prototype of SpaceX's "Starship" shuttle, intended to to travel out to the moon and Mars. This launch was the Falcon 9, designed for low earth orbit missions.

Is it still going to happen? I was just at New Smyrna and it started to rain.
1 GeminiRocket 2020-05-30
The weather was a GO 30min ago.
1 rakrakaon 2020-05-30
Just think. We're 10 minutes away from Elon getting one step closer to nuking Mars.
