Okay, so first of all, you've just made a reply to me that is in two unrelated parts. The first is unrelated to anything I said. As long as you comport yourself in this manner, you will only be met with derision. It is a nonsense method of communication.
Brother, it's insured. This isnt about looting, it's about getting a point across. This is the equivalent of sitting out the season for a contract. If you REALLY believe it's worth it, then you make as much noise as possible and do not let up until you are heard.
Do these idiots assume that everyone in the world has maximum insurance coverage?
Because they've never owned or cared for anything of value and it shields them from having to claim any sort of responsibility.
If you own a liquor store (most of which are immigrant-owned independent businesses) most of your personal equity is probably in your high overhead, high volume, low margin retail store, and virtually all of the store's value is in its inventory. After paying employees, rent, and distributors, you can hopefully extract enough money to pay your rent or mortgage, health insurance, car payment, and maybe squirrel something away for savings. Generally though, it's constant hard work that is unlikely to ever do more than pay your bills.
Now, if a gaggle of r*tards breaks your windows and steals or shatters every product in the store, you might as well have been fired from your job and had your bank account deleted. You still have whatever cash savings and maybe you're lucky enough to own a home, but the majority of your equity is just gone, poof.
If your insurance pays out, you might have more options, but you've still likely realized how fragile your livelihood actually is. If you get a lump payment without conditions, are you going to rebuild your glass bottle emporium on a street where every independent businesses was burned to the ground, or are you going to go get a job as a Total Wine manager or tech support rep?
Yes, and they've never dealt with insurance since most coverage doesn't cover riot and even if you do manage to get your claim through, your premium will quadruple for the rest of your life.

i love how people think insurance is some magic power that the elites have that just restores everything for free at no cost to anyone but the evil billionahhs
insurance just means EVERYONE who has insurance pays for it... if you burn down all the stores, their premiums go up and prices go up... rtards
Eh they'll be good one day. Once John Wall returns, him and Beal will be doing good things. Rui Hachimura has a lot of potential too. I think they'll have a good trio together sometime in the next couple of years.
I want Wall back as much as anyone, but he wasted much of his prime years on the Wizards man. Beal seems to be going down the same road, wanting to be a franchise player. I just hate seeing talented dudes waste away on bad teams and not get recognized the way they would were they playing for actual contenders.

Not to mention the weeks worth of disruption in having to set it up all over again. Doubt insurance covers the value of missed sales lol

That’s if you insurance cover riots.
The entire “meh insurance” defense is fucking insane
0 NervousTomatillo 2020-05-31
It's called business interruption insurance and it's pretty common.

Really sucks to be a small business owner in those areas. Those people are just using the word "insurance" to ease off any potential guilty feelings.

Wish everyone was as smart as you.

These people have their entire livelyhoods paid for by taxes but simultaneously want to kill the people paying them.
1 Captain_Bunghole 2020-05-31
They don't actually know how insurance works.

They also assume insurance companies are some benevolent orgs that write you a cheque immediately for all damages.
1 Dysiak 2020-05-31
Well, these are the same people who don't understand how net worth works
1 Wewraw 2020-05-31
This is untrue.
The insurance companies will just not pay cause they won’t be profitable anymore if they do.
Smaller ones would rather just declare bankruptcy and exit the market.
1 snowkarl 2020-05-31
Obviously
I never said everything is getting paid for, I was just referring to that which actually will be paid for by insurance
