I got good enough grades in highschool mostly B's and a few A's, until my senior year when I just gave up. That year I don't think I got anything lower than an A minus, lol. I still don't understand what happened there.
In my experience, the only reason anyone would ever have below a 3.0 in highschool is if you literally don't do anything (like me). My senior year was the only year I did most of my work and I got B's in everything, that shit is a joke and i'd have been better off dropping out.
People with low GPA's in highschool are lazy, period.
Rightoids do this too tbf but wokies are doing the whole gpa is racist thing now, so. In way I see where they come from, I always did very well in school but I chalk it up to my Indian family pushing me to not be lazy rather than being particularly more brilliant than anyone else.
I had a low GPA in high school because my uncle and best friend died two years apart, I was in an abusive relationship and didn’t feel safe asking anyone for help, I have major trouble focusing, and also because homework every single night is fucking stupid.
It never even began for neurotypicals.
Imagine having to try to get good grades. Imagine not having the sheer mental prowess of an autist. This is why your stupid girlfriends watch Sherlock and swoon, normies.
I was failing the highest grade of maths so I got moved down to a lower grade and was better than everyone which motivated me and I got so good I got moved back up to where I was just average and lost motivation and failed completely so I graduated high school without a maths qualification at all. Not sure why I'm telling you this but yeah I was pretty fucking retarded.
When I was in high school I met with my parents and guidance counselor to talk about my class placements. They wanted to either place me in the highest level of every class or the lowest level with two teachers per class, because they felt that either I was smart enough to take AP classes or not focused enough and in need of extra help lmao.
No shit GPA doesnt determine intelligence. But Intelligent prople also have a high probability of getting good GPAs. Surely there will be exceptions to this rule, but getting a good GPA vastly improves your chances of being successful.
Yeah it’s not a 1-1 perfect relationship, but it certainly correlated. In college we had kids with shitty GPAs in HS who were decently smart and took college seriously and did great. We also had kids who were ridiculously smart but never went to class or did homework that basically failed their first year. But more often than not, people’s HS gpa lines up pretty well with their college GPA
GPA is more a reflection of your effort and attitude, not necessarily how smart you are. But yeah, if you're smart, you will probably have a higher GPA.
Man, I did well in hs and college, and I was a pretty early semi-leftist (actually read on Trotsky; thought he had a lot right). As soon as the insane idpol shit started cropping up (think early r/tumblrinaction) I knew shit was going south. God bless next-level retards that made this retard more radically centrist.
It depends on the major, but there’s still a correlation. For example math majors have the highest avg iq and social worker education has one of the lowest.

It's always the Chapo types too. Even the SRDine keeners back them up on it.

Imagine the backbreaking burden of doing an hour or an hour and a half of homework a few times a week. You can't? I've got news for you
I was there.

Imagine actually doing homework instead of copying from the class nerd during the break

If you aren't the kind of person who gets As in subjects they like and Cs in everything else from sheer apathy why live?

Well which did you take?
2 elephantofdoom 2020-07-17
I decided on a case by case basis, generally taking high level history and English classes and low level math and science classes.
3 KetchupStewedFries 2020-07-17
And where did that get you. I'm joking, I know you went to the same underachieving commuter school as me.
1 elephantofdoom 2020-07-17
Oh no. Am I being doxxed?

This is an alt account. No.

I can't even bother to read that first part. Why do these people shove their abusive pasts everywhere they can.

So just admit you got bad grades because you're lazy.

High school isn’t hard at all, my friend group’s lifestyle was basically nonstop underage drinking and they still all had a 3.0 or higher.

It's crazy how loads of the insane fringe views you used to see on TIA in like 2011 are now widely accepted by anyone left of centre lmfao

GPA determines intelligence, just do the work or drop out and go work on a farm.
2 TiberSeptimIII 2020-07-17
It doesn’t determine IQ, it shows that you work hard and show up to class. Both of which are very important to future success.
4 MaskOffGlovesOn 2020-07-17
It shows that you’re gay and IQ shows that too

1 koishiacute 2020-07-17
in high school it was piss easy to get decent gpa. i got 3.4 by just showing up and doing minimal homework and getting good grades on exams.
1 kermit_was_wrong 2020-07-17
Grades don’t determine intelligence, but the overwhelming majority of people with 1.7 GPA are dumb as rocks.
