https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiC-zSbC8K0 The U.S is throwing it's ginormous ding dong on the big 5 tech companies. It's also pursing about the platform clarification based on censorship.

From yahoo " US lawmakers will grill the chiefs of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google Wednesday about how they wield marketplace power in what promises to be a rare political spectacle. The House of Representatives hearing comes amid rising concerns over Big Tech dominance, which has become even more pronounced during the coronavirus pandemic. The unprecedented joint appearance before the House Judiciary Committee features Tim Cook of Apple, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Sundar Pichai of Google and its parent firm Alphabet. The CEOs of four of the world's most powerful companies will testify remotely, less than 100 days before the US election."

I saw this on the TVs at the gym. It was only a matter of time before this happened. I'd rather them trade Bezos for the Twitter asshole who claimed not to manually mess with trending topics. At least Bezos makes money on selling me some cool shit that gets delivered to my door and lets me stream Bad Girls Club.

bezos made me laugh in the last few minutes of this, they expected him to be some kind of nerd like zuckerberg but he doesnt know or care how amazon works or what it does

The difference between the 4 was really interesting to watch. Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai were super boring actual CEOs who were very good at giving professional PR non-answers most of the time. Bezos was far less prepared for this sort of thing, but had sort of a chad "I don't give a fuck attitude". Zuckerberg honestly doesn't seem human. I know that is an overplayed Reddit joke, but fuck if it isn't true.

Zuckerberg actually seemed like a bullied nerd being pushed into the corner and asked "why are you so gay?" when they were needling him about cookies

He did look like he was about to cry at any moment.

The whole thing was pretty entertaining for congressional testimony. Some of the congressmen actually had pretty good questions and seemed to know what they were talking about. Others were straight up boomer tier questions that sounded like "Why aren't my grandchildren responding to my campaign emails? Why are you censoring me?!"

When you're the second richest person on the planet next to putin shouldn't you basically default to "lol get rekt I don't care" since literally nobody can stop you?
