Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the largest percentage of the black vote a candidate has gotten since LBJ passed the Civil rights act of 1964.
Republicans used to average pretty good numbers among black voters, 40%-60%. With and after LBJ they suddenly switched to 90%+ Democratic support. Trump is the first candidate to push that down into the 80's.
I think his outreach to blacks probably had something to do with his good numbers among other minorities as well, like if other minorities see him reaching out to black voters, they are liable to think, hey, maybe the media is lying and this guy isn't so racist after all.
The strategy almost worked... I mean he almost won after this disaster of a pandemic response. It only didn't work, because Joe is like the definition of mayo.
It's good anyway that the ethnic support for the political blocs is becomes more even like this. Not a good thing obviously to have two sources of conflict like that, tied together. For national stability.
