Does this mean it gets 20 fps with a graphics card alone that costs the same as a PS5? Holy shit, imagine being a pc gamer 🤣

"Ultra graphics and ray tracing"

Not really comparable to how consoles will run it.

I don't think we know if the ps5 version will use ray tracing yet. This gen of consoles will have the capability of I am correct. Given these results if it does it would have to be like 1080p @ 30fps though.

Almost every game released on the new consoles so far has had multiple graphics modes, and I expect the same with Cyberpunk.

Probably a 60fps, dynamic 4k mode and a 30fps dynamic 1440p raytracing mode.

From what I can tell this is with the game maxed out but yeah, not looking good lol.

I don't even see the issue tbh. When Crysis ran poorly on ultra settings, we called that future proofing.

Yes but PC g*mers have gotten way more impatient the last 10 years.

I have a 970 and I was planning on pirating it I guess my bandwidth is now saved.

That's with all the highest settings and raytracing and shit, just play on high instead of ultra

Pirating is a crime

U gonna snitch?

Yes.

Bootlicker.

I pirated it, getting 20fps on ultra lol

There will be a knock on your door at 3 AM tomorrow morning

oh noes! the tr00n pol ice

Same here I have a Zotac GTX 970 along with an i5-3470 processor. I was going upgrade my processor to the i7-3770K for Cyberpunk 2077. Now I just decide to wait and buy a new pc for Cyberpunk 2077

Why would you buy such an old i7? Do you really want to save the $100 for a new mobo that bad? I'd figure you'd do just as well waiting till you can get the whole cpu/mobo/ram (if needed) combo then be able to keep it for a couple years longer than a gen 3 i7

Yea I just did this not too long ago and recommend he does the same.

I think I'm going to play the game on GeForce now or google stadia after watching Linus's video on Cyberpunk 2077.

I still have the 2600k, a beast but its kinda slow in some games, I'll just buy a new pc next year. 8yrs this pc has been with me

That’s on ultra. Probably hits a consistent 120 if you turn the graphics down to low/console.

You're missing the best part where that's with dlss which means its running at a lower res than listed

Nah only the bigger bars on those are with DLSS, you can see clearly at the bottom that the DLSS is specified by the bright color, the darker one is native.

I don't give a fuck how much you call your flimsy delusions "enlightenment." There is no amount of ceaseless self-deception that will make you accept the charred hellscape of being a miserable useless destitute fucking junkie piece of shit. You know what you are, and it is deeply ugly on every level.

whyyyyyyy is it shocking that a game that had to be optimized on 9 different platforms simultaneously all while the devs were working remotely maybe doesn't work perfectly with cutting-edge technology that historically doesn't work well immediately upon release.

like seriously, Witcher 3 didn't play nice with Nvidia's shit either. This is not drama.

Its drama to aspies.

I mean they advertised it specifically with Nvidia features. The Ray tracing was a huge part of what they advertised when they were saying how beautiful it was.

Wasn't there some dumb hair rendering technology that schlonged its performance?

Yes, which is why everyone turned it off/low/geralt-only etc.

Ray tracing is overhyped. Computers can really only handle ray tracing shading and light reflections in the foreground. This still leads to a slight bump in graphics but leads to a huge drop in frame rates.

Yeah, the amount of power needed for the benefit doesn't really seem worth it yet.

Yes but it was one of their selling points.

Yep

Hello 2 year old news

Ray tracing is not an. Nvidia feature", they just beta tested it in the last generation with the otherwise awful 20x0 series. It's part of the DX12 spec and AMD and the consoles are both going to be implementing it this generation.

Yes I know that, but they literally had advertisements where they showed it with Nvidia's rtx ray tracing. If you do that and then your game runs like shit on Nvidia cards, you have a problem.

iirc the console stuff was done my a diff studio

9?

Saying 9 platforms is a stretch. You can't consider a slightly more powerful variant of the same console to be a different platform, nor can you say that when the game runs in backwards compatibility on the PS5 and Series X|S. Three platforms at best.

Stadia

20 bucks says it's going to be mediocre at best and borderline unplayable on most pcs/consoles until patching is done. I kind of feel bad for anyone who still buys pretty much anything day one anymore, but if they haven't learned by now they never will.

The internet has been creaming itself for years over this game. If it's bad they're going to go apeshit and boycott their precious CDPR cope about it for a few months then get hyped for the next trailer.

I don't like watching everyone play while I wait, I'd rather laugh at the jank.

What did they expected from a guy that needs an RTX 3080 to have most of its features turn on?

Well, I'm playing it on my prehistoric computer (2500k baby) with my 1080ti and it's actually running ok, really enjoying it so far.
