Lots of pirates arrrgghing in other subs this is posted

Won't affect most of us, considering how many of these places are offshore and it doesn't target people who access the sites

Oh. Well then.

I don’t think i’ve ever encountered a pirating site based out of the US in the past decade, its always based out of some eastern european country or somewhere in asia.

Piracy's a crime and crime doesn't pay
And we go home poor at the end of the day
But I'd rather live my life in rags
Than be taped to a desk with a wife as a hag
We live each day like there's nothing to lose
But a man has needs and the need is booze
They say all the best things in life are free
So give all your beer and your rum to me!

Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink!

yar har fiddle dee dee
being a pirate is alright with me

what is this meme band lol

Pirate metal is a legitimate génre, you uncultured swine!

(they have a bunch of legitimate bangers including an epic Timecube ballad)

I've been streaming movies with friends since covid hit, so this kinda sucks. The bill probably won't go anywhere but still serves as a seethe generator for now.

Unless you're profiting it you're gucci. The only people this threatens is people running adds on streaming sites.

Plus if you're not pirating through a foreign based VPN you're an rslur

Worked so well for the music and movie companies. I'm so scared of downloading pirated content I tell you what.

The bill targets large-scale, criminal, for-profit streaming services, not good faith business disputes or noncommercial activities. Nor does it target individuals who access the pirated streams, knowingly or unknowingly.

Well good thing no one has ever used the technical wording of a law to apply it far beyond the original intent.

Crime is bad ass.

Crime is bad.

Oh no, guess the streams will be hosted in other countries now! Anyways...
