Manchildren compare everything to Hitler.

I only get like 40 fps @1440p with my 1070. So, yeah this game is actually worse than some 1940's cookout.

Is it a GPU or CPU bottleneck.

I had no interest in this game at all but now I am interested in a masochist kind of way.

I have a 7700k at 5.0 and a 1080ti and I’m wondering if it’s even worth it. If you’re getting 40 FPS I can’t imagine I’d get more than 60-75

CPU bottleneck mainly from what I've seen people have issues with.

I just upgraded to a 5950x and 3090 and I'm not even bothering with the game until the real developers get back to the office and clean up the messes. I don't want to waste time with glitches and other bullshit.

If it's mainly a bottleneck issue it's because I'm on the R5 1600 AF which is essentially a lower binned 2600. I used to run off an Intel I7 3930k with a Chinese knockoff x79 mobo, so I'm not choosy. Most of the graphics options have little effect on my performance. It's playable but it feels like Fallout New Vegas on launch again.

Been fine on a 1080ti and a 1440 ultrawide with most everything high except post effects, particles, and shadows (kept better face shadows though)

Most of the game was probably made on 1080tis really. RTX is the real killer and all it does is add detail to reflections and some subtle bounce lighting close to sources. Total gimmick.

Paste regularly baffles me. They have better beer and spirits journalism than many dedicated trade or consumer drinks publications, and their music writing is often pretty good, but a lot of what I've read of their other content is absolute bottom-of-the-barrel alarmist dreck.
