If something so trivial gets the sub banned, so be it, it's barely worth keeping in its current state. I appreciate the fact that OPs don't force to actually wade through the rest of reddit.

Happy new year, by the way, hopefully we'll have one that's more conventional but no less dramatic.

True but the jannies will ban people I think are funny for doing it and that means less entertainment.

Inshallah

Just let this place finally die

The admins get off to slowly chipping away at the sub, and we're the enablers.

I want Spez to choke me with a belt while he blows my back out.

I think it's far better to put a choice quote from the drama in the self post. Then it's trivial to just highlight+Google search to find the thread. You don't even need to comment in the relevant thread for people to find the drama via user history.

Ironically, if you look at his comment history, he's earnest posting like a laughter bovine in the "McConnell again blocks quick vote on $2,000 stimulus checks, slams 'socialism for rich people" thread.

You're obsessed with a children's show

Fair.

Have you watched The Last Kingdom? It scratched that fantasy itch for me, especially the way they handle "magic" which imo is done very well for historical fiction.

It's ok. It's not fantasy and I don't find it realistic, so it falls between two stools.

Uthred son of Uthred, whose real name isn't Uthred, is a meathead and can get himself out of every problem by fighting.

Early on he's fuckin insufferable but I liked him much more in the later seasons.

My biggest complaint with shows like TLK and Vikings is they half ass the historical aspects. I don't mind the "magic" stuff and actually enjoy when it's played ambiguously. Minor changes to who do what when and invented characters I just explain away as we only know what historians wrote and maybe they were wrong. But leather armor just rips me right out of my suspension of disbelief. At least get the cloths right. So annoying.

Leather armor was real.

I'm confused as to what you are confused about, but yeah it was a thing.
