Daft Punk is a pretty soft variety of dance music - they're just far funkier than most, and have a number of really fun tracks.

I think I just have an irritation with Daft Punk themselves and how they portray themselves. It may even be with all of electronic dance music. I don't mind listening to some ridiculous feel good dance music, Daft Punk just seems to take themselves so much more seriously than their music should be taken.
