As is tradition with almost every major Nintendo announcement, the reactions are polarized but nonetheless very emotional. The main two groups seem to be people furious about shitty remake vs people cooming over Pokemon reskin of Zelda BOTW.

The announcement tweet

For Reddit discussions, well just think what would subs that discuss a Pokemon game released on Nintendoswitch possibly be named.

ending every sentence with that fucking :)

I have never been so certain that someone's life is miserable.

Honestly, I'll CONSUME Pokemon till the day I die and I could give a fuck less what anyone says.

People all butthurt over these announcements for them not living up to their expectations should have things that go against the Reddit TOS happen to them.

You and I both know that of the people bitching about those games, 60% were never gonna buy them in the first place and the remaining 40% will buy it within 2 weeks of release for the full price regardless, like the good paypiggies they are.

When have they not.

The Last of Us 2 proved these dumb fucks will still spend their Good Boy Points despite their screeching about their precious vidyas being ruined.

Can you explain why people are mad? I haven't played Pokemon since I was like 9 and chose bulbasaur as my starter. But some of those screenshots look neat and I'm imagining being able to battle friends. I think the shit talk would be pretty great when pissing off your buddy with a stupid cute monster.

Because they want a Mona Lisa from a company making Pokemon games.

The games have always been simple, short, kid oriented, merchandise-able, and that's it. For 60 bucks they want Pokemon to fix their life's problems.

Oh. But is it a good game to humiliate my friends with? Mario Party on the switch is great to shit talk to, and I'm wondering if this pokemon game will be in the same vein.

Nah, not a party game.

Bummer, thanks though.

Remember, Pokemon will never be good again :)

Pokemon hasn't changed in the last 15 to 20 years. The only thing that will force a big change is a drastic drop in sales.

Where’s the resident /vp/ user, what’s his thoughts on this?
