Nah Nintendo allegedly threatened to sue and that was it. He was selling some Chinese company's product but under his name so think it would have all been on him lol.

According to him

he made around $250,000 in sales within the first 24 hours of releasing the devices.

But then this happened

and completely redirecting the SouljaGame.com website to the official Nintendo website.

So maybe there was some kind of agreement? Maybe he gave up money and they didn't sue him. Whatever happened has been kept secret.
