People who "are into true crime" should be put in a sex offender-style registry and treated with suspicion and contempt. Discuss below.

I was browsing some insufferable bullying & agendaposting baitfish sub that can still link and ping, and there's a thread about some true crime badman who did a heckin' retardphobia or something.

The unmentioned elephant in the room is the community of people who use grisly deaths and other people's tragedy as entertainment fodder and then have the chutzpah to claim the moral high ground.

They are mostly harmless phoyds who get off thinking about being wrapped in carpet and left in the bottom of a lake.

Is it really correct to call us human at this point? I feel like we're too far gone for that.

True crime is boring as fuck unless it has a political element too it (politically motivated assassinations, things like that) change my view.

Fully agree, and that's shit's interesting because 1) political intrigue and 2) politicians aren't real people. Regular true crime is just an outlet for bored people's basest instincts that are otherwise suppressed by the comforts of modern society. It's like boxing or cockfighting, but way less cool, or maybe like those videos of small rodents crawling around that people play for their house cats.

The entertainment factor in the show The Apprentice was watching idiots - who don't know they're idiots - fail at doing anything competently.

For me, the appeal of true crime is the same, but with criminals, cops and prosecutors.

Just look at Making a Murderer, the phoyd lawyer was the only person with an IQ over 90 in the whole show.

the virgin politically motivated killer vs the chad serial killer who just loves killin

Well, I never!

I recognize that I (along with all th othere degens here) am indulging in a very similar hobby on the reg, but I'm not going to pretend that it doesn't reflect poorly on my character.

but I'm not going to pretend that it doesn't reflect poorly on my character.

Yeah I'm don't have to pretend because it doesn't 😎

In the worlds of D&D, words and music are not just vibrations of air, but vocalizations with power all their own. The bard is a master of seriousposting, autism and the magic they contain. Bards say that hatespeech was spoken into existence, that the words of the pepes gave it shape, and that echoes of these primordial Power Words still resound throughout the cosmos. The music of bards is an attempt to snatch and harness those echoes, subtly woven into their reports and bans.

The greatest strength of bards is their sheer versatility. Many bards prefer to stick to the sidelines in combat, using their autism to inspire their allies with pictures of hot bussy and hinder their foes from a distance. But bards are capable of defending themselves in melee if necessary, using their magic to bolster their swords and armor. Their spells lean toward charms and illusions rather than blatantly destructive spells (i.e. spamming racial slurs and telling posters to safety check themselves). They have a wide-ranging knowledge of many subjects and a natural autism that lets them pretend to do almost anything well. Bards become masters of the talents they set their minds to perfecting.

I wonder which will happen first. Criminals get really innovative with their ability to commit crimes or technology improves to the point where crimes become impossible to get away with.

Must have been so easy back in the day. Commit a crime then move 2 towns over and chill out.

What's there to discuss? You are correct.

retardphobia

How did that not get filtered by automod?

Retardation is back baby!

There are tiers in true crime fandom and people will usually sort themselves into their respective groups based on level of trashiness.

it's all super trashy but yeah, the degree varies widely. The people who try to identify bodies in NAMUS are the only ones who aren't just indulging in sick voyeurism.

t. sick trashy voyeur

Yeah, I have to admit that even my "highbrow" choice of listening to Casefile is way trashier than not being into true crime at all.

Most of them fuck dogs as well so they're already on some sort of list.
