Speaking for myself (and myself only) I must say that I am getting a KICK out of the fact that an obvious Concern Troll Post (one of countless that we are regularly "blessed" with) -- sniveling and whining that <Redacted> has "fallen"-- become a place of "just stupid fucking memes" that is TOTALLY FLOODED by "bad actors" and "Q" followers (and Lions and Tigers and Bears -- AND RUSSIANS!) that are forever "trying to gain control here" -- has made it to THE TOP of this sub -- indeed, it now has the honor of being the Top Upvoted Post of The Week

Sadly, I fear that neither OP nor the hordes of "me too!!!" critics and snivelers joining in the dog-pile to berate the sub, its users and the mod team in the comments will realize that the "success" of this post utterly DESTROYS the very premise on which the post itself is based (whoosh!). Oh well, no matter...

ANYHOW, given the HUGE influx of visitors, I thought this might be a fine time to take advantage of this situation as an educational opportunity to enlighten the masses on the DEFINITION of the word "CONSPIRACY" -- what it means, and what it doesn't -- in the interest of the public good. :-)

Now, I realize that this information MAY be a bit unsettling to those who have long labored under the misconception that a subreddit called <redacted> should be talking about ghosts, space aliens, Bigfoot sightings, or legends about gnomes, leprechauns, goblins, and sea monsters -- because the term "Conspiracy" (when properly understood) does NOT, in fact, apply to ANY of the above AT ALL (unless you happen to believe that Space Aliens are secretly plotting in collusion with Bigfoot and the "wee people" in a diabolical scheme to kill the Loch Ness Monster so that they can RULE THE WORLD! -- which is NOT beyond the realm of possibility, you know!?!?)

But alas, in the real world, the term "Conspiracy" is FAR more applicable to the realms of Politics, High-Finance, Corporate Oligarchs, Media Moguls and other power-hungry individuals, groups and entities that DO IN FACT scheme and plot with one another to advance, consolidate and secure their positions of wealth and power for the sake of their own benefit -- and almost always to the detriment of the "unwashed peasantry" (that would be us).
