Giant Naked Zombie Weebshit Drama
1 2021-04-06 by AllocatedData
Final chapter of generic shonen that got pretty fucking good then became a generic shonen again while embracing genocide is releasing the last chapter. The last few chapters have not been great, with fans saying "next chapter will make or break the series." Freefolk with Titans has a fresh megathread of vehement seething and coping (self included)

It was never good. This is the most pure cope from aotcels. Ithas always been bad and you have bad taste.

Almost every long mango that runs for more than 5 years has a dogshit ending. These last few chapters have been par for the corse for what I have come to expect from japanese comics. The actual reason people are mad is because Isayama is taking a big steaming shit on a bunch of people’s headcanons and fan theories. Titancels should be happy that they are at least got chapters in a timely manor, unlike Berserk fans.

I don't read a lot of mango but the drop off after 123 was like GoT s3/4 to s8 within a few chapters. Every chapter in this arc gets worse in retrospect.

Surprised, usually I am very impressed with Japanese story telling. I stopped a while ago cuz I was so addicted to it that after binging season one I just went through the manga. Problem is they release one issue month.

I thought it was pretty good, better than having to slog through a bunch of politics after the MC yeeted the blonde haired Illuminati. Then again, I stopped reading a year ago and only picked it back up a week ago, so I got to see it all in one go aside from the final chapter.

Drop off happened after 131 brother, there were only two "bad" chapters until 132
1 AllocatedData 2021-04-06
126 is a hard drop off, even if there were good chapters before 132

Disagree. 127-131 are all bangers, which makes up for the soso 124-125 and the terrible 126.

Those titans ran weird and were spooky and then they showed them too much and got good at killing them. I don't care about the political drama, I just wanna watch the spooky Titans. Same thing happened with the walking dead an zombies. Zombies were scary at first and then they weren't.

28 days later was a literal game changer

You're so right. Those zombies stayed spooky throughout the whole movie and it was great. I haven't seen any of the sequels though, I'm afraid they'll ruin it.

They had two one was unofficial where they find a cure. Interesting thing is the movie literally created a new genre. And the movie was a metaphor for war. For example the abandoned cars homes; he kills a child he does not have to; the soldiers that end up being sadistic murderers and rapists.

Zombie movies being some allegory for war or something has been a thing since Romero’s stuff. For a long time it was hard to find a decent-budget zombie flick that wasn’t trying to be a serious commentary on one thing or another.
28 Days Later definitely made zombie movies big again, although I wonder if it was inevitable with how successful the Resident Evil games were.

It was a game changer I think for the way it approached it. And the visuals. Like even the thing of not making noise or light at night. The abandoned homes, cars, properties.

In The Lord of the Rings, J. R. R. Tolkien drew upon the language and themes found in the old Medieval hero-tales in order to construct a kind of new mythology. The brilliance of Tolkien was in his departure from the Pagan modes of conduct and morality of these old tales, his creation of a syncretistic fusion between Christian thought and Pagan language, and so his work achieved a deep resonance with all who read it.
We find this passage at the conclusion of The Return of the King:
>The Dark Lord was suddenly aware of him, and his Eye piercing all shadows looked across the plain to the door that he had made; and the magnitude of his own folly was revealed to him in a blinding flash, and all the devices of his enemies were at last laid bare.
Adversaries in the stories that Tolkien drew upon, Grendel, Mordred and the like, often served as obstacles that the heroes could overcome through feats of strength and cunning. Sauron is not like them. When Sauron is defeated, it is not because Aragorn is stronger than him or because Gandalf is wiser. They are not. It is only that his hubris was so great that it never occured to him that anyone would want to destroy the thing he held so dear. It is not until the final few seconds of his existence that he realises his mistake.
I think that I Am Jazz displays a similar moment. In the pictured scene, Jazz's journey to what he believes is womanhood is almost complete. He is resting after surgery, a triumphant smile on his face, his rotting groin held together by a labyrinthine patchwork of stitches and grafts. But as Eru Ilúvatar nudged Gollum over the Crack of Doom into the fires beneath, so too does the God of our world intervene in this.
>Pop!
In a second, the follies of men are undone and Jazz's crotch explodes, a meaty froth of blood and pus pouring out of the hole where his penis used to be.
In that moment of blind panic and terror, Jazz is Sauron. All triumph and victory is gone. Only the Void remains.

Aren't the people from titanfolk/yeagerbomb ree-ing because they failed to realize that you're supposed to stop cheering for a protagonist once they decide to go for the genocide strat?
1 VALIS666 2021-04-06
You say this like we're all degenerates and would know what that means.

action manga for teen boys

It means it's aimed at 14 year old boys, or those who are mentally as such.

Shit is the ending supposed to suck? This is the first weebshit thing I've been tricked into watching in years and I am really digging it. Bummer if it has a shitty ending.
1 AllocatedData 2021-04-06
If you only watch the anime the first few episodes of the next part will be the peak of the series, followed by a decent arc that's been somewhat disappointing considering the run that happened from Shiganshina on
1 Babybear_Dramabear 2021-04-06
Thats ok I guess. Could be worse
1 Mrtheliger 2021-04-06
I was planning on writing a longpost praising it until around 135 lmao, this is why we only trust Araki to give us good, complete stories. Based on the leaks shit is gonna be wack
