Superman is a notoriously difficult comic to write. The guy is basically Italian Jesus, clean shaved, and on roids.

If superman was an earthling he'd be an Italian guy, that's just what nationality he looks to me. Now if race isn't an issue than the best person to play supes would be Dwayne fucking Johnson. Muscle on Muscle. If you go by the comic book. I also think he could actually save the franchise. But you do need good writers.

I disagree with everything here, but it's a fresh take and I like it.

Personally, I've argued for someone like Dwayne Johnson to play Luthor though I'm not sure he has the range. Some interpretations of Lex have him as incredibly fit as well, and I think it works well with his anti-Superman position. He was also always portrayed as very tan in the SAS/JLA/JLU cartoons so I think you can get away with biracial, though I always thought of him as Italian.

It's all G. I think an English actor would be really good for Lex Luthor. Not because of the accent but the talent. English actors actually care about what they do and I find they bring more to the table. Iwan rheon would be really good.

With the skin issue they can bleach skin. I don't know if it would be acceptable, but he has the best frame if you go by the comic. Add that to his Charisma and general personality and I think you have an actor that can pull off the role of supes really well. Cavill is too stoic IMO.

I agree. I think everything about Snyder superman is wrong. Snyder could have made a phenomenal Batman film, but Superman should be more like an MCU movie.

If I made the justice league movie, the moment Superman came back there would have been a subtle but definite change in the color palate of the film with the whole world getting brighter.

I'd like to see a more physically imposing Lex because my favorite interpretation of Lex has him as a kind of pinnacle of humanity overshadowed by Superman's inhumanity.

Bro I gotta disagree. MCU is I dunno man, it's just not my thing. I think it is possible to make A superman film like Chris Nolan's batman trilogy. You just need the talent, good script, and a good story teller to do it. Even Cavill at the end of the day is a tool. Actors are tools and they take their direction from the director, but you still advocate for yourself and the project.
