For the real left it’s mostly like a cope and seethe to justify doing nothing. Much like their general opinion on civic duty and actually reading the books the constantly espouse from. They resemble the religious in this respect.

I have never ever seen a buff socialist. Perhaps that is just sampling bias, but I know enough socialists that makes it extremely unlikely. Perhaps there is something about the ideology that leads to this state of affairs.
