It's supposedly coming back later this year. There was a bunch of drama last time around, with a disconnected 4th season and multiple failed attempts to bring it back. The 4th season was done without any involvement from Aaron McGruder after he was either fired or ragequit, depending on who you ask, and those episodes were definitely lower quality than the original three seasons. He's back on board for this reboot/new season, but between Corona and production delays the release date keeps getting kicked back. It's supposed to come out some time late this year on HBO Max, but with their track record I wouldn't be surprised to see it pushed to mid 2022. In the meantime you should watch Black Jesus.
I really hope it can make a comeback, since it ended on such a sour note.
You could really feel that there was something missing in the fourth season - everything just felt a tad off.
