I can only confidently guarantee that the prostitute you end up making tender love to (lol) will shower longer than she usually does after your 5 shameful minutes of disappointing her

The only way they could fumble the announcement and release of TBC classic is if there is massive server instability on launch. I don't play classic nor do I plan to play tbc classic but they've basically done everything nobody asked for:
release prepatch with less time than was given between prepatch and launch than happened with the original vanilla->tbc transition. Players that want to level up the new class/race combos for their faction now have to play a shit ton or buy boosts to get to max level before outland opens.
announce tbc date with less than a month to generate hype and make people aware that it's happening
make character clones absurdly expensive on a per-character-basis for a game that has been out so long that most players have multiple max level characters they want to play (the service needed a cost for gameplay reasons but not economically). Lets be clear the actual physical service of blizzard doing this costs close to zero dollars usd, it's just a database entry copy paste job.
Release a $70 deluxe version of the tbc classic that includes toys and pets and shit you get in shadowlands, which has lost an enormous amount of subs over its 9 month content drought without providing the base game itself. The deluxe version also doesn't even include a character clone.
The reason for all of this shittiness is probably as simple as looking good on the next earnings report by inflating sub numbers and not wanting to release close to the shadowlands 9.1 content patch, which is one of if not the longest waits for a first content patch post-expansion release in the game's history.
