I would like to report that the mods would rarely answer me when I asked to be approved and when they did were often extremely rude. This was distressing because as I explained at length, I've been a part of this community for years, and had simply found myself in an embarrassing situation which required a change of account. I was left unable to comment for months and frankly it had a negative impact on my mental health. There were probably thousands of posts within that span that I desperately wanted to gift with my hot takes, but alas the community was denied my voice. I have no idea how this subreddit expects to grow and prosper when it's moderation team treats even its oldest members with hostility.

I've seen a lot of people blame the admins, which is understandable, but the truth is that this decline can be primarily attributed to the ineptitude of its leadership.
