He is wrong, and only commie lines of thinking gets you to the point he's at now. If a slug is more advanced than Einstein, then I'll eat my shirt. "Oh but slugs can breath underground for longer than you can, and they can produce more mucus!". Well, I can use a snorkel to get round the former, and infect myself with Rhinovirus to obtain the latter.
This crab could judge any other species for their inability to build sand houses etc. as being 'less advanced.' It's all a matter of perspective
Crabs can't "judge" and they don't have a "perspective" in that sense. This dweeb can't even make their point without anthropomorphizing the crab. #NerdBash2021
😶 Fuck. I can’t talk marine inverts rn, I’m trying to get shit posting numbers up.
Okay the eyes everyone knows, I find it more interesting that the “smasher” type species inadvertently create cavitation bubbles when striking. Same thing that Pistol shrimps are known for, but these aren’t targeted and probably contribute to damage between molting/annoy the shit out of the mantis. They hit so fast they displace and superheat the water. Light is formed iirc, fuzzy on the physics but it’s out there. The anatomy of the raptorial appendage responsible for this is incredibly cool too, the saddle spring mechanism.
nah just your regular old compound eye just shaped weird so they would have more pixels looking at where they turn their eyes to
also with a broader wavelenght range but that doesnt mean they can see colors we cant see or imagine or some bullshit like that, just your regular rainbow but wider
having a narrow visual range isnt bad as you get to pick apart really similar looking colors easier

He's not necessarily wrong but I still feel compelled to bully him all the same.
Also that crab is cool as hell.

If crabs are the most advanced species, then that one species of parasitic barnacle must be a goddamn living superpower.
