Texas decides to make crazy 6 week abortion bill law where private citizens can sue abortion doctors or anyone who helps a woman get an abortion. If you win, the Texas gov pays you 10k.

I don’t do law but this feels like a law that can be struck down without even touching the Roe V Wade thing.

They're basically throwing shit at the wall until they can get Roe V wade overturned.

At this point I am daring rightoids to overturn abortion. Watching them get absolutely obliterated on the national stage will give me life fuel.

And watching supreme courtcels screech as the bench is completely gutted will be hilarious.

I mean if Roe V Wade were to be overturned, abortion would still be legal in democratic states but since so many republican states already have laws banning abortion on a state level on their books(which is dabbed on by Roe V wade) it would gg for them.

So basically the south would just accelerate their decline into shittier and shittier states.

There are multiple "republican states" on the verge of straight-up flipping if the GOP continues down this unhinged path.

Literally the only reason the GOP is as competitive as they are in the senate is the ability of fairly moderate Republicans to distance themselves from the GOP and pretend they aren't insane.

Specifically, Texas is already on the chopping block. It doesn't take a mathcel to see the writing on the wall. Cruz winning a senate election there by like 2 points vs someone that literally ran on a platform of gun control should have set off alarm bells in the GOP.

I mean maybe but Republican state control is pretty wide spread, they can staunch the bleeding of loss of state control pretty easily in places like Texas and Florida with gerrymandering.

Abortion is such a hot button issue for huge voting bloc of Evangelists in the US that I don't know if they can cut off that limb without just crumbling as a party.

I'm specifically talking about the senate/WH here.

Though there's only so far gerrymandering can go. The primary reason gerrymandering is becoming harder for the GOP is that democrats are now running up margins in both urban and suburban America.

It's much harder to gerrymander against that than it is to specifically gerrymander against urban America.

And given the rapid growth in the suburbs democrats are seeing (which seems to be both a long-term trend and accelerated by Trumpism) the districts they draw might not even be safe for that long.

This is generally the issue with long-term Republican strategy, and also why the party is clinging to Trump, because he can drive up margins in rural America and maybe offset the fact they're losing the demographic war horribly.

hmm maybe but I assume they will just pull out some dumb shit and try to secede eventually lol

and maybe offset the fact they're losing the demographic war horribly.

Trumpism is also the only way the GOP can appeal to latinos on a large scale. Romney would've killed for the numbers that Trump got with them last year.

At most, Trump did worse than Bush with Latino voters.

He didn't really gain anything, he just went back to historical norms. There's also no reason to believe it'd work again given what happened after the election.

Many Cubans I know in Florida, Trump voters, have told me they will never vote Republican again and are comparing what Trump did to tin-pot dictatorship.

That's so you'll leave them alone.

I've been hearing this for over a decade. Not saying it's not a possibility, but you're singing a stale tune.

The state has grown more democratic with every recent election.

This. The GOP is clueless. Like bro it’s 2021, everyone is a thot. Let the thotties have their shit before you lose everything to the dems.

So basically the south would just accelerate their decline into shittier and shittier states.

It's hard to imagine Louisiana being even shittier than it already is but this is what the endgame of outlawing abortion will be. Abortion helps keep the poorcel population down. By promoting and supporting Planned Parenthood, libs have kept the founder's vision of mass scale eugenics alive and thriving.

What an increase in poorcels means is a greater acceleration towards the inevitable collapse of this homosexual system.

We are far closer to ruin than redemption.

The only states worth living in are balanced between dems and pubs. Deep south pub states going full theocracy are terrible and people are fleeing the dem strongholds because dems don't know how building houses work so rent and taxes take up 80% of people's budgets. anything further right than Texas or further left than Michigan is a shithole

Texas’ version is unique in that it prohibits state officials from enforcing the ban. Instead, it allows anyone — even someone outside Texas — to sue an abortion provider or anyone else who may have helped someone get an abortion after the limit, and seek financial damages of up to $10,000 per defendant.

Also it allows you to sue people who you suspect may “intend” to help someone get abortion after the 6 weeks period, so if someone accuses you of thinking it or talking it, they can sue and it won’t be tossed out immediately the way the law seems to read.

Totally not going to an unconstitutional shit show until a judge gets a case and intervenes.

Can I sue you, and you pretend to lose the case, and we can share the 10k between us?

holy based, can't wait for dog the bounty hunter thot patroller

nooooooo not the heckin babyarinos you can’t just do an abortion on them you are doing me a frighten

First they execute the r*tards, then they wipe them from existence. Very Spartan of them, very progressive.

We will adopt your baby!

Why wait? I'm sure there are a lot of kids waiting to be adopted.

Yeah, but those are mostly black

See, this is what gets me.

I would wager those who adopt Black babies are mostly doing it for virtue signal.
