Asr prayer for a lot of schools is after hours, so they only have to accommodate Dhuhr, which schools legally have too.
Allah is a loving, forgiving and a fair God and it's not a sin to miss prayer as long as you make it up. Alot Muslim women fast again the week after Eid Al Fitr because they didn't fast for the week of Ramadan they were menstruating. Same goes for men when they're sick.
