Let's also remember that gay and bisexual men actually have significantly higher rates of suicide (not just raw numbers, but like per 100,000 people etc.) So, while the trains attempt rate (for trains females) is higher, the follow through is much lower, just like people who can birth children. Thus, we can literally prove that trains women are real women. 🏳️⚧️

Uhm yikes sweaty, Jesus was clearly a polyamorous pansexual pioneer and if you can't see that you're part of the problem. Educate yourself and do better 💅
Ivan Denissowitsch was a trainswoman and the Gulag was actually an allegory for the US prison system, because the idea that it would exist under coomunism is CIA propaganda💅🏿
This man is God. He created high fantasy for all nerds. He literally created a world out of thin air.
But he leaned on all sorts of myths and stories of all cultures and societies. He was jealous of other cultures having their foundational myths and stories and set out on a magical and pure journey of creating something like that but for the English and the English man.
The scenes of war in his books were about the battle of the somme and other real lived experiences of war.
Anyways just read David Day about Tolkien to really understand.
To end this drunken shit post: people have never read Tolkien or his contemporaries. They just watched the movies. These are the npcs of the world.
It all started with the hobbit. "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit."
That is why for us true nerds the modern hobbit movies are so perverse and ugly.
Tolkien was a dirty rural who hated industry. If he had his way, space daddy wouldnt be sending us to mars to ride electric cars in subterranean tunnels.
When confronted with industrialization a bunch of veteran hobits formed up and murdered everyone who had sullied the environment. Punishments were also meted out to those who had done nothing but benefited from said industrialization.
Rofl, Sauron Saruman effectively occupied the Shire with armed thugs and implemented a rudimentary police state. He did so not to industrialize, but to ruin it in revenge. He literally came in and made the place as shit as possible to fuck with the Fellowship.
Tolkein was a devout Catholic and would find the things Ted did, not to mention his continuing delusional arrogance to this day, absolutely appalling.
Punishments were also meted out to those who had done nothing but benefited from said industrialization.
Punishments were handed out to collaborators. It was an allusion to Vichy France.
Very few punishments were handed out even to collaborators, and Frodo was adamant about not killing any hobbits even if they had whole-heartedly gone over to the other side, not just been bullied into it. So even if hobbits in Occupied France had actually joined the SS, Frodo wouldn't have let them hang for it.
You're quite right otherwise, though, especially about Saruman's motives.
You in no way disagreed with me. Ted meted out punishment to people he saw as collaborators. He saw that leaders of industry were purposefully harming the world.
When confronted with industrialization a bunch of veteran hobits formed up and murdered everyone who had sullied the environment
No, they formed up to oppose a tyrannical regime.
Ted meted out punishment to people he saw as collaborators.
He sought to overturn industrialized society by striking at what he perceived as its critical points. The Hobbits sought to purge their community of the traitors that collaborated with foreign, authoritarian occupiers.
Hardly. The focus is entirely upon the environmental damages. It's to showcase sams fixing of the shire. The simple gardener is recognized as the pillar of the community while the rich over priveleged "protagonist" has to go away to deal with the ptsd that he got from carrying too much jewelry.
I think we're all allowed a bit of hyperboly in the parts of our arguments that aren't relevant. Either way frodo was clearly there to represent the distant aristocracy class. You can tell by his distant demeanor and inability to share his burden with his msn servant.
Oh, so you were serious. That's an extreme cherry-picking of details and critical analysis of Tolkein. You've basically carved up his work to select only the elements of his story that were a commentary on environmentalism and the effects of unfettered industrialism, all in order to build this narrative linking him to Ted.
I really don't get the pseudo-intellectual fixation people have on Ted. He was a pathetic, mentally broken man whose actions were driven by misanthropy, his alleged concern for industrialism's effects on humanity being little more than a vehicle for his own unhinged arrogance.
The fact that you completely neglect Tolkein's deep Catholicism is evidence enough that you're missing the forest for the trees.
I responded to a post saying tolkein would hate what ted did. My response was highlighting the characters in his books doing the same thing over the same issue. Do you want me to apologize for focusing on the subject at hand?
As for tolkeins catholic identity, he frequently struggled with concepts like evil, represented in orcs, and did not toe the catholic line. So saying catholic ideals dictate his opinions on a matter is idiotic.
"A slightly higher than standard intellect that believes that stating the obvious means it's alright to mail explosives to people. He should have stuck to mathematics and left philosophy to those who understand it. "
On a totally unrelated thought I love trolling rightoids that quote 1984 by saying Orwell (pen name btw xd) was a socialist butthurt about strong arm Stalinism. 😎
Meh, author and product can be separated tho. Take JK Rowling, who’s been essentially disowned by her works huge lefty following. What Orwell wrote can be aimed by whoever wants to wield it.
Glad you did. I remember a high school slut asked me to go watch some dumb movie, and I said no, and when I told my friends they all laughed. It was gonna be a mostly empty theatre and I could have at least gotten a kiss before 17. This was like when I was 13 lol.

That's equally good for making Reddit Marxists seethe. When you point out that 1984 was written by a socialist to critique the abuses of socialism/communism/Marxism they do not take it well.
We all know that, in order to be a true man, you have to put down anything with fantasy settings cause autists on the internet said it's swordshit or capeshit; the most masculine book is clearly "Identifying Wood" by R. Bruce Hoadley. Anything else is pansy shit.
I'm a walking encyclopedia about the 1800s and 1900s. Mostly read a lot of war memoirs tho.
But yeah it's fun bullying autists online that think they have all the riddles to the universe when they've never read meditations. Or other classics that aren't 1984 or animal farm or brave new world or Fahrenheit 451.
Aka read books by dead men and women (George Elliot is my necro waifu) that are long forgotten.
You tickled my tism and I actually had to grab my book. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
edit: cuz auto mod:
of course its not WW1 jesus christ, all Tolkien did was create his own little universe that used existing stories of past times and his own lived experience in the trenches. Even the legend of the Ring is as old as the Volsunga Saga and The Nibelungelied
the "trilogy" of the 3 main books isnt even a real trilogy. it was meant as one long ass book. its just broken up into 3.
the battle of the somme is a nice metaphor to the battle of dagorlad.
Get tickled Tolkien told people to stop trying to read things into his works. Specifically not to put WW1 in them. He’s done this in interviews, personal meetings, and the end of the Fellowship of the ring edition I read had a whole end page dedicated to “stop saying it’s ww1 autists it’s not”.
of course its not WW1 jesus christ, all Tolkien did was create his own little universe that used existing stories of past times and his own lived experience in the trenches. Even the legend of the Ring is as old as the Volsunga Saga and The Nibelungelied

Oh boy another r-slur agrees with you, I sure am beat. Sorry Tolkien some internet rando said you actually did mean for it to be a metaphor, so you’re wrong.
Iirc. In particular that its an allegory for the real world. No, Isengard and its fate is not an allegory for the industrial revolution, and pelennor isn't for WW1.
That doesn't mean these events haven't influenced his works. Its hard to deny that the conclusion to Frodo's story is very reminiscent of the lives of war veterans, and that seeing those lives probably influenced how Frodo was written. But Frodo doesn't represent war veterans. Just like the Shire doesn't represent a pre-industrial idyllic society.
Except Orcs, Orcs absolutely are supposed to represent 🏀-americans of course.
Spurred by recent interpretations of Tolkien’s creations and the cast list of the upcoming Amazon show The Lord of the Rings
Good morning i fucking hate corporations. So this is it, this is the real reason why diversity is the topic of that seminar. Amazon throwing money at them to push their product and advertise it to the woke crowd and/or through controversy.
As much as I loathe leftoids, I hate large corporations every bit as much. Especially tech corps that pretend like they're still small start-ups and "somehow*" dont come under the same scrutiny as the oil giants or defense corps.
* the reason of course is that they have a stranglehold on public discourse by controlling the Internet. Wouldnt want to pass of your neo-feudal lord now, or your news site will only be on page 10 of search results. Or cant be hosted on aws, etc.
I remember stumbling upon some autist trying to get some meaning being "going hollow" in dark souls and he wrote an essay about it and how to not give up or lose your soul or some other autistic sperg out.
Some nerds really do read way into some shit past face value
Amatonormativity is a term coined by Arizona State University professor of philosophy Elizabeth Brake to capture societal assumptions about romance. Brake wanted a word to describe the pressure she received by many to prioritize marriage in her own life when she did not want to. The term does not necessarily only involve social pressures for marriage but general pressures involving romance.
What else would they do, talk about the Volsunga Saga for the millionth time? There's really nothing new to say about megapopular 70 year old fantasy books. The Tolkien Society is a fleecing scheme.
It's mostly just people whose views have no merit who need to air them in cultural studies conferences populated by fellow-travellers trying to stay in academia via the same grift instead of in internet forums and blogs.
I'm angery not just because of the bs being peddled but also because A FUCKING MOSLEM (AND A F*MALE AT THAT!!!) is presenting "Projecting Indian Myths, Culture and History onto Tolkien's Worlds"

41 daggermag 2021-06-19
No shit. The point is real nerds have read the books and that is a low fucking bar.
I'm making fun of lotr nerds that never read the fucking books but have lotr shit in their homes and in their socials
21 Faeswordsman 2021-06-19
Token never heard of Arthurian myths? Huffing too much lead paint and other industrial chemicals from YT War the first? What a goofy gopher.
14 daggermag 2021-06-19
Aragorn is Arthur by the way.
20 Faeswordsman 2021-06-19
You've licked the brim of your daddy's hat one too many times if you expect me to believe Arthur is some elf tickler.

20 Shubard75 2021-06-19
Tolkien was an autisty nerd. Put down the swordshit and read a real book.
26 daggermag 2021-06-19
Like what nerd 🤓
You must not be well read to see what Tolkien's aspie genius made.
40 silverhydra 2021-06-19
We all know that, in order to be a true man, you have to put down anything with fantasy settings cause autists on the internet said it's swordshit or capeshit; the most masculine book is clearly "Identifying Wood" by R. Bruce Hoadley. Anything else is pansy shit.
15 daggermag 2021-06-19
I'm a walking encyclopedia about the 1800s and 1900s. Mostly read a lot of war memoirs tho.
But yeah it's fun bullying autists online that think they have all the riddles to the universe when they've never read meditations. Or other classics that aren't 1984 or animal farm or brave new world or Fahrenheit 451.
Aka read books by dead men and women (George Elliot is my necro waifu) that are long forgotten.
That's baby ass high-school books.
1 Giulio-Cesare 2021-06-19
The only book anyone should ever read is American Psycho
18 auralgasm 2021-06-19
I started reading Fellowship of the Ring once and it was really boring so I stopped. Nerds mad(x24)
8 specialdialingwand1 2021-06-19
you weren't riveted by the endless shrubbery and topography descriptions?
7 daggermag 2021-06-19
True.
1 UncleTedsBackup 2021-06-19
The part with Tom bombadil is a fucking 😴😴😴😴 fest. Just skip it, its the only bad part.
15 ifyouarenuareu 2021-06-19
Funny, Tolkien explicitly shits on the idea that his books are a product of WW1 himself.
14 daggermag 2021-06-19
Battle of Dagorlad.
You tickled my tism and I actually had to grab my book. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
edit: cuz auto mod:
of course its not WW1 jesus christ, all Tolkien did was create his own little universe that used existing stories of past times and his own lived experience in the trenches. Even the legend of the Ring is as old as the Volsunga Saga and The Nibelungelied
the "trilogy" of the 3 main books isnt even a real trilogy. it was meant as one long ass book. its just broken up into 3.
the battle of the somme is a nice metaphor to the battle of dagorlad.
fuck off you little shit.
9 ifyouarenuareu 2021-06-19
Get tickled Tolkien told people to stop trying to read things into his works. Specifically not to put WW1 in them. He’s done this in interviews, personal meetings, and the end of the Fellowship of the ring edition I read had a whole end page dedicated to “stop saying it’s ww1 autists it’s not”.
1 daggermag 2021-06-19

“Of course it’s not WW1, it’s just this battle is the Somme”
In the words of the most popular American “come on man!”
Tolkien didn’t say “it’s not a metaphor for anything except for the parts these r-slurs want it to be”

6 ifyouarenuareu 2021-06-19
Oh boy another r-slur agrees with you, I sure am beat. Sorry Tolkien some internet rando said you actually did mean for it to be a metaphor, so you’re wrong.

4 ifyouarenuareu 2021-06-19
Not if Tolkien saying it isn’t is anything to go by.
1 UncleTedsBackup 2021-06-19

9 rodentsinmygenitalia 2021-06-19
Giving up is going hollow but that’s about it tbh
7 Tobyghisa 2021-06-19
I’m sure the nerd was unsufferable, but that is what going hollow is at face value. it’s not even some obscure interpretation or anything.
5 daggermag 2021-06-19
oh yeah, but this guy went off for paragraphs and paragraphs. a literal essay. maybe it was 200 iq trolling/satire.
basically when andre the blacksmith says "dont go hollow" he means dont give up.
fucking nerds reeeeeeeeeeee

42 Shubard75 2021-06-19
What else would they do, talk about the Volsunga Saga for the millionth time? There's really nothing new to say about megapopular 70 year old fantasy books. The Tolkien Society is a fleecing scheme.
33 AlphaMale3625 2021-06-19

0 jubbergun 2021-06-19
So long as he's letting you suck his cock why do care how he turned gay?
17 daggermag 2021-06-19
Even Tolkien lifted the Ring idea from like 3 older myths lol
37 zsfh 2021-06-19
It's mostly just people whose views have no merit who need to air them in cultural studies conferences populated by fellow-travellers trying to stay in academia via the same grift instead of in internet forums and blogs.

Look at their event page, and we can all see why they also fell for the influence of the Dark Lord.
When we tell them to read another book, we didn't really think it through.

11 SolomonRed 2021-06-19
Its a coping mechanism for those who can't handle their own reality. So they try and fit themselves into a fictional one.
12 longlivemrwolf 2021-06-19
Disney should just buy up the Tolkien estate to essentially destroy the media landscape.

Lauren Southern needs to stop pretending that she is a rightoid. She is a liberal at best a centrist.
15 Doubleh3rd 2021-06-19
Wasn’t she one of the biggest proponents of “The Great Replacement”?
9 tiptopkitkat 2021-06-19
yup, she has been grifting from start. I cant remember the rightoid who creeped on her, got pissed off at her for marrying an Asian.
Lauren also dated an Indian before she became famous.
