I wasnā€™t a conservative in intro psych and American lit because I wanted to pass without having to argue about grades to department heads. There are a ton of conservatives in college they just keep their mouth shut until they get into their stem/agriculture courses

Ironically, most of the time when I was at college professors seemed to be the most concerned about drawing the ire of conservative students.

Where at? Was it a big school?

We weren't like Bob Jones University small, but we had like 8,500 students. Kind of a commuter school, so even the libs were fairly chill. TPUSA would stop by every once in a while with a table in the hopes of generating some content, but people mostly ignored them.

Tbf, no one was super politically active, but if a teacher started sounding like a lib they would usually try balancing themselves out.

When I attended community college it was like that. When I got to a bigger university it was completely different experience

Itā€™s weird that mainstream reddit always says ā€œerm the reason why conservatives arent at college is you have to be smartā€. Ignoring that you go to college to get knowledge, it doesnt make sense because most of these kids are dumbasses that rack up student loans and then think thereā€™s 72 genders by the end of their time there. Itā€™s just that conservatives are also fools that would be fine with indoctrination if it taught that life begins as soon as your cum drizzles out

Indoctrination nation šŸ˜Ž

The abomination of Obama's nation

I hate when I'm on a flight and I wake up with a water bottle next to me like oh great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle

Conservatives do go to college, just being exposed to new ideas and people tends to erase conservative views.

American conservatism doesn't mesh well with higher education because American conservatism is primarily based in social conservatism and rural idpol.

Conservatives can try to warp reality, they can try to moan and stomp their feet - but education in this country will remain a vaccine against conservatism.

Obviously, this isn't an absolute, you can find highly intelligent well-read conservatives, but they've basically all left the Republican party so they're "fake cans" according to the mainstream.

If you teach someone in a positive manner they are more likely to understand and accept your point of view. If you attack someone in a negative manner then they are less likely to understand and accept your point of view. Educators sometimes forget this and it hurts not only their students but the society in which they teach.

Conservatives lost their right to respect sometime after the Q-anon riot.

You think an 18-year-old has their mind set on the world?

No, but anyone that sticks to conservatism after college is a lost cause.

lol ok

I'd say don't downvote the lolcows, but you're just boring.

Stay mad rightoid piece of shit.

Unlike you, who never had any right to respect to begin with.

Stay mad rightoid garbage.

šŸ˜“šŸ˜“šŸ˜“

New ideas like critical race theory and third wave feminism, which you hate

I was raised liberal and got more and more conservative during college due to fatal woke exposure.

Ensuring "ideological diversity" through state sanctioned testing.

Based and USSR-Pilled

Their love for Soviet-style authoritarianism grows ever more apparent.

Of course thereā€™s conservatives in colleges but they donā€™t wanna die because some green hair weirdo finds them not inclusive so they keep their rightoid opinions shut

Like God intended

Inshalla

wtf I love diversity hires

There are plenty conservatives, or at least students that do not adhere to the wokeshit. You just have to know where to look.

Unfortunately, said governor could not understand the importance of nuance.

Florida man

Not understanding nuance

You are surprised?

Not really.

diversity of ideas

It's weird how academic diversity boards really hate this.

What happened to children are better seen and not heard? Who cares what 18 year olds think?

You thought that money was free? There's no such thing as a free lunch. When you accept our money you accept being our bitch.
