Because the fiction is perfectly in line with the market desires of women in Korea. Men want to be chaebol so they can get women. Women want to get fricked by chaebol. If you are a South Korean guy no woman wants to breed unless you have a penthouse in gangnam, a dacha on Jeju island, and millions of dollars in cars at minimum. They will hold their nose and get knocked up if they don't have a private jet, but they'll heavily encourage the poor gook to get richer so they can get one. There aren't enough chaebols to perpetuate South Korean society.
