I watched some stuff again this week:
Hajimeta with 'Kunoichi Tsubaki', which was okay, nothing special but ii enough to kill some time.
Then I started watching 'How A Realist Hero Rebuild The Kingdom', which was mata okay, Im still watching the second season currently.
I also restarted 'The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious' cause I never finished it when I first started, and I liked it even though I was a bit odoroita that the show went so far into drama territory after being pretty much only comedy for 10 episodes.
Saigo thing I watched is 'Boarding School Juliet', havent finished it yet but I suki it so far, though there are only 3 episodes left and I have the suspicion that it will have some shitty open ending and will never get a second season. I hope not.
I also mimashita 'The Fruit Of Evolution' a few weeks back, I think I never mentioned that. Had a bit of an hen start but got better later on, I would watch a second season.

It shows up in the flashback/dream from the dead Japanese soldier fighting the spider tanks in the middle of a city. Pretty obviously supposed to be some bioweapon that got repurposed into a religious myth. Maybe a bit "any significantly advanced technology etc etc" but not actually magic.

Outside of my Seasonals I am watching Victory Gundam which is a kill 'em all series. Lots of brutal deaths, with a couple being pointless which is annoying. Suit designs for the Feds look great, the designs for the antagonists are weird, I like them a lot less than the F91 designs.
Along with that I am watching Samurai Champloo, which a hip-hop heavy samurai anime. Its solid.
I don't recall have you seen Chuunibyou? Net-juu no Susume? Seishun Buta Yarou was Bunny Girl Senpai? There is also Ano Natsu De Materu and the Onegai series.
If you want trashy harem: We Never Learn is ok, best girl is the teacher, or there is The Quintessential Quintuplets.

My quest to get through Gundam continues. I wrapped up 00 with the movie. It was alright, but the aliens were a little wacky. The ending seemed like it was trying to be deep but it was more like the production people were tripping balls the whole time.
I watched Zeta Gundam too but I didn’t like it. Kamille was annoying, the Titans weren’t very threatening or captivating antagonists, and the Newtype stuff really doesn’t interest me. People say Zeta Gundam is supposed to be really good and that later stuff like ZZ and Victory isn’t as good. If I didn’t like Zeta then I should probably just skip those outright. I did like Char as a good guy though.
I watched Char’s Counterattack afterwards, and the parts with Char and Amuro were good. Quess really drags down the movie though. I’d compare her to Sofia Coppola in Godfather 3.
I tried Iron Blood Orphans again, but the plot isn’t grabbing me. I’m also getting through Unicorn because it’s short, but the main character is also really annoying.
In terms of what I actually liked, Stardust Memory was great. I’ve decided the UC OVAs are peak Gundam to me because they focus on the war and don’t get bogged down with Newtype weirdness, plus they all have solid action. I’m also watching IGLOO which is cool except for the cgi faces.
I’m also enjoying Mobile Fighter G Gundam, which is like a refreshing break from the seriousness of every major Gundam show. It’s the kind of anime that would be terrible if it wasn’t so over the top, but thankfully it’s hilariously ridiculous.
I also watched an episode of a SD Gundam show, and I honestly couldn’t tell what it’s about or what the show’s trying to do.
I’m thinking about starting SEED as my next show. Is that one any good? What about Reconguista in G?

The aliens make it a very controversial movie, as does the Qan [T]'s weird bullshit. No idea what they are doing with Season 3, which in theory we are getting in a few years.

Stardust started great but I found I hated when they shifted directories halfway through. It went from a war series to a romance.
Is great, its entirely off the wall. So Naturally, Japan hates it. Though we are finally getting modern model kits for it this year.
Make sure you watch the directors cut from a few years ago. It fixes some of the massive pacing problems the original had. Unless you want to sit through like four episodes of the same song being sung and like four groups of people talking about the same information independent of each other. Skip SEED Destiny
Was so poorly received in Japan, Korea, and the US that they turned S2 into a movie series. I found it hard to follow and motivations to be unclear.

Interesting that they’d continue an older AU like that. I’ll chalk 00 down as a good series and the first AU I watched all of, but I’m not sure where else they could take the plot. It seemed pretty over and done with.
Zeta wasn’t all bad I suppose. Kamille does improve, but then other characters like Reccoa and Katz grow annoying in his stead. Scirocco was a decent antagonist compared to the generic Titan officers. I also liked Haman Karn, but I don’t think I’ll watch ZZ just for her. It just wasn’t always a great series to get through.
I guess I should have known. My first Char thing was The Origin, and his meeting with Lalah made me think he was adopting her as a replacement sister. I was kinda shocked to see them kiss in the compilation movies of Mobile Suit.
I’m watching the Unicorn OVA. I don’t mean to be too critical since the production values are dope and the plot is engaging. It’s just that the main character does that thing of obsessing over a girl he saw for five seconds.
The Stardust romance is lame, and I didn’t like the romance in 8th MS Team either. I liked the shows in spite of it.
I’ll look for that SEED director’s cut since that all sounds like the kind of filler that would kill my interest in a show.
