This makes sense. Just look at any thread with Christians and they are always running their mouth about how much they hate black people.
For instance, @Klenny, the leader of the christians ping group, owner of /h/truth, and apologist on the beaches of /h/atheism. Because he did those things, I think of him as a prototypical, average Christian. Here's a quote from the man himself:

i wouldn't like to r*pe, murder or enslave, because i would feel bad about it. If i was to internalize the atheistic belief that the end state is eternal nothingness, then there would be nothing to feel bad about. i will die, it will be as if i never lived, nothing in my life will have mattered. They will die, it will be as if they never lived, nothing in their life will have mattered. and so empathy and guilt would be completely irrational feelings. I assume that a persons feelings toward r*pe, murder and enslavement would be different if they were able to rid themselves of empathy and guilt

I don't understand why atheists can't comprehend the logical conclusion of their own professed beliefs, which is that nothing matters. humans are motivated by reward and consequence, but if the end state is nothingness, all reward and consequence is undermined. There is no reason to murder, r*pe, and enslave. There is no reason not to. There is no reason to do or not do anything at all , because ultimately there are no rewards or consequences for anyones actions. Really, the logical thing to do in this scenario would be to keep yourself safe, but in general, this not what people believe. even professed atheists

While most atheists probably aren't aware of all the implications of nihilism and don't make full use of freedom that it affords, I don't see how killing yourself follows more than any of the other million things you could do and thus has a low base probability of being chosen.
